Dated, but nice breakfast

Half of this hotel is renovated, which looked very nice. But our rooms were located in the older section. Very old and dated. No AC, so it was very warm. But, a really lovely breakfast.

Everything was great except the man in the room next door was banging on our wall saying we were talking too loudly THIS WAS 20.45, I knocked on his door twice and he banged the door from the other side, I told reception who kept asking if we wanted another room I thought he should move. The manager spoke to him.

Great location, walking distance to the city center. There is a lot of parking space in front of the hotel. Staff were really friendly and breakfast was great. I recommend this hotel. On Saturdays in the summer, there is also a nice open market in the centrum in front of Altes Rathaus.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for only 1 night as we had a flight out of Munich the next day. We loved it & wished we could have stayed longer, perhaps taking day trips to explore nearby towns. The hotel is beautifully decorated, our room was large & very comfortable, and breakfast had everything & more. The hotel has its own restaurant but as it was closing at 6pm, we opted to eat elsewhere. We were so taken by the town's delightful walking trail along the river, another good reason to stay at the Donauhof!
