Darwin Getaway

My men folk wanted to have a week of fishing in the Top End and I needed to catch up with old friends and do a bit of shopping. Our three-bedroom cottage, close to Casuarina Shopping Centre and not too far from the CBD was just perfect, it supplied everything to make our stay comfortable - and it had good air-conditioning.

Fantastic home in a great location

Our family chose this house based off of location and bedrooms and didn’t need much more than that. We got so much more than we bargained for and did not leave with a single disappointment. The spacious backyard came with a small BBQ, perfect for marinated Kangaroo steak, and a cozy place for early morning coffee to watch the Bin Chicken poking around for its breakfast. The bedrooms were a nice size, each with ceiling fans and AC Units. The living room had a comfy couch with reclining chairs with an extra recliner that gave all four of us a place to sit while watching cooking shows on Netflix. The WIFI was fast and reliable in all areas of the home. The water in the shower was always hot (even with a teenage girl!) and aside from the single frog we found in the toilet upon check-in, we had no other unwanted visitors :) The neighborhood felt extremely safe and was quiet through all hours of the night. Its location to all local attractions was a very easy drive (or a nice walk if you’re feeling up to a little leisurely exercise!). Check in and communication with the owners was quick reliable in the days and hours leading up to check-in and the Property Manual gave us all the information we needed throughout the stay. This is a great property for any small family and I would highly recommend this space for any visitors to Darwin!
