Beautiful Lakeside Home on a Hill

This beautiful property provided everything we needed. We had 4 adults and 3 children ranging in ages from 3 to 68. We had a wonderful time visiting Mammoth Cave and Dinosaur World and spent our mornings and evenings fishing off the dock. We would definitely stay here again.

Great family weekend

The property was perfect for a family getaway. The house was clean and stocked with all the essentials you would need. The 2 big decks were a favorite spot to hang out and watch the sunset. I would absolutely recommend it.

Wonderful

My family and I spent Thanksgiving together in this wonderful home. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of room for the 7 adults and 2 children. The kids loved the loft and the basement was a great place to curl up and watch a movie. I’m sure it’s even more fabulous in the summer with the lake. We had a great time.

Lake weekend with friends

My buddies and I rented this house for a weekend over the summer. The house was perfect. We spent the weekend swimming and fishing. The fishing is really good right off the dock. This is an awesome house. Definitely recommend

Perfect Lakeside Retreat Near Mammoth Cave

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful lakefront VRBO! The house accommodated our party of 6 very well. The kids loved the loft upstairs. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The peaceful lake views from the deck were breathtaking, and we loved spending our mornings sipping coffee while watching the sunrise over the water.The location was perfect—just a short drive and ferry ride to Mammoth Cave National Park, making it easy to explore the incredible caves and hiking trails. We really got a lot of use out of the bag set on the below deck.

Cub Run Review

We had a nice time during our stay. The house check in process was easy and straight forward. The roads to get there were a little bit challenging to drive if unfamiliar with the area. The house was on a beautiful lake, however, the fishing advertised, was unavailable due to the high water of the lake and the doc under water. In addition, on the last day, we did find a cockroach in the clothes of our children up in the loft area.

Good times

Nice property off the beaten path. Secluded and quiet. Enjoyed the deck and view of the lake. Couple minor issues with the house the main one being the toilet. We had a log jam every day if our stay. this never happens back home but the toilets in this house just need replaced. If u don't want to plunge in vacation I would rent a different place.

Mammoth weekend

There were 6 of us staying at Cub Run. The house was nice, good beds for all. We initially planned on 8 adults, and it could have slept 1-2 more. We were not informed ahead of time about no water/ice available from the fridge due to a leak that had not been repaired (caused warping in the wood floor in kitchen). We would have liked to have known so we could buy ice and more waters on the way in. Lake was nice, we spent a day on the water. It's about 100 steps down to the dock. we took our own pool noodles and floats.

Loved the Lakehouse

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lakehouse in Mammoth Cave, KY, and it was truly a memorable experience. The serene surroundings, coupled with the stunning views of the lake, made it an ideal retreat for relaxation and nature lovers alike.The house itself was spacious, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. We particularly enjoyed the cozy living area and the well-equipped kitchen, which made our stay very comfortable. The outdoor area was a highlight, with ample seating to enjoy the scenery and the peacefulness of the lake.However, we do have a couple of suggestions that could enhance the overall experience for future guests. The lighting in the dining area could be improved, as it felt a bit dim during our evening meals. Additionally, adding pantry storage along the wall in the dining area would be a fantastic improvement, providing extra space for food and kitchen essentials.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lakehouse and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway. With a few minor improvements, it would be a perfect 5-star experience!

It was a beautiful house and property. Well stocked and ample sleeping space. Only I and a half bath. Another full bath and it would have been perfect. Full fridge downstairs would be nice. Small fridge downstairs did not work. Over all a beautiful rental. Thank you.

Luxury Lake Vacation!

If you are looking for that PERFECT, quiet, lake getaway - stop scrolling and book this place NOW! This was absolutely the best vacation home we have ever stayed in. The views are breathtaking, the lake perfect for fishing, boating and swimming, The sunsets were out of this world. The home had everything you could ask for: fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, dishwasher, towels, yard games, board games, hammock, firepit, tvs in every room..... and CLEAN. Everything just smelled CLEAN when you walked in. What to bring with you? You are literally in no-man's-lind, so stop at a grocery and get shampoo, conditioner, a bar of soap, and whatever you'll need to eat while you're there. There's no groceries or food for a good 30 minutes (walmart is about 50 minutes). This property was just heavenly for the week. No noise, 1 or 2 bars of free wifi (which is just enough if you HAVE to use the computer, but also just enough to keep the kids off their devices and down the lake fishing instead!) 48 minutes to the visitor center at Mammoth Caves. I can't say enough about this place. 10 stars!!!

Loved Nolin River Lake!

The decks were great. The stairs to the lake were many but well built and maintained. The deck was good but could use a better ladder, it was difficult to get out of the water onto the deck. The swimming although deep was excellent. We had terrific weather. The upstairs loft was good. I thought the basement bedrooms and bathroom were somewhat awkward. Suggestions: put mirrors and towel hooks in both bedrooms. Put more towel racks/hooks in the full bathroom as well.

Perfect!

Absolutely perfect house. Nice and quiet lake. Beautiful sunsets on the dock. Great for swimming with the kids. Caught fish and turtles. Saw bald eagle several times. About 45 min to Mammoth Cave. We had a great summer trip.

Fantastic Place to Relax

This home provided everything we wanted. The lake view on the incredible decks were wonderful. The loft, the downstairs, and the great room met our needs when it came to enjoying together or some one wanting to go to bed earlier than others. Pictures of home are very accurate. We rented a pontoon and enjoyed diving at the home. Our granddaughters really liked jumping into the lake…a first for them. Please note…this home is definitely located far from a supermarket or restaurants. There is a great Mexican restaurant on the way to Mammoth Cave. There is also a great restaurant at the Wax Marina. Be sure to tour the cave. A simple tour is the Frozen Niagara. Our three granddaughters, including the youngest who is 3 , were able to enjoy. Highly recommend going to the water park in Bowling Green…about an hour from the house. Be sure to eat at Micki’s on Main in the historical part of town. It was excellent. Our granddaughters even liked the food a lot. One full bath meant planning for 7 people…and we did that just fine. Movie night on the large sectional in family room was terrific. My husband and I have rented many different homes and condos from VRBO over the years. This one was quite good and lived up to our expectations.

Family get away

This was a wonderful property for our extended family to spend a getaway. The house was spacious and very clean. The master bedroom was blocked off , so there was only one full bathroom, but this really wasn’t a problem. The decks overlooking the lake are amazing for viewing the sunset. We really liked having our own boat slip/dock for swimming and bringing people on and off boat. There are 150+ steps up from lake dock to house, so be ready to do a stairs workout. The couch in the basement was really comfy. Four people slept comfortably on the couch. The loft upstairs had two bunks that slept 4 people each. This house comfortably slept 16 people, using the sectional downstairs for sleeping. There are two arcade games in the loft and a fusball table for the kids. Would definitely stay here again.

Hidden Gem

House was great overall and we would definitely recommend. Indoor spaces and outdoor views did not disappoint! The lake was a fabulous surprise… clear, warm water with very few boats. We bought rafts to float on while the kids jumped off the dock/swam/fished/hunted for geodes along the bank. Kayaks would be an awesome addition to this home ;) Boys (ages 9, 12, 13, and 14) also loved the sleeping loft and sand/fire area. We were able to travel to mammoth caves and do some really fun zip lining while staying at the house. Drive to get anywhere was 30-45 minutes so pack and plan accordingly and enjoy this relaxing vaca!

I’ve eyed this beauty of property for a long time. So much that we decided to have our wedding there. It served its purpose more then you know. The views the layout the kindness of the owner was awesome! Picture coming soon to her phone…;)

Wonderful Weekend

The property was very nicely appointed - all very comfortable furniture and beds but the outdoor space is what really made the weekend! The HUGE covered decks and seating areas let us take full advantage of the great views and nature. I would definitely stay at this property again. Proximity to Mammoth Cave was great! Very pretty lake!

Mammoth Cave Spring Break

We just spent 5 very relaxing nights at this home over spring break. My pre teen boys loved the bunk room and big comfy couch on the ground floor. The lake water level was low but the views were still gorgeous. The kitchen was great- fully stocked with high quality pans and utensils. The master bedroom is off limits to renters so everyone had to share the small full bathroom off of the laundry room on the ground floor. The beds are comfortable but the two downstairs bedrooms are windowless. That is truly the only downside and not really a big deal. In all, we had a great time at the house and surrounding parks. Well worth it.

Great place

Great property! Very spacious and comfortable l! My husband said the design team delivered on comfort! The cloud couch was a big hit!
