Friendly hotel with room for improvement

Friendly staff on reception, good breakfast, comfortable bed. Given that northern Italy is suffering from major drought, I was disappointed that they changed the towels every day. It’s unnecessary. I used the stairs, which looked like they hadn’t been cleaned properly. If I go back I’ll ask for an internal room, which might be quieter as there is a very noisy bar downstairs with tables outside. Lots of renovation work happening on the upper floor so it’ll be interesting to see what they are doing with the place.

This hotel is amazing and is right in the heart of Cremona. The breakfast is great also.

The rooms are nice but basic. The location and staff were wonderful. The breakfast was wonderful and varied. It was great to be in the heart of one of Italy’s beautiful cities.

Excellent location and welcoming staff

The receptionist was very helpful and patient with me as she let me talk / practice my Italian. She also provided a lot of information and tips about local sites and restaurants. Ideally located in the centre of Cremona.

We loved this hotel and the staff

Lovely modernised hotel in historic centre of Cremona. All staff we had dealings with were brilliant and really went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Excellent breakfast buffet, with charming waitress, who did not rush us at all, even though we arrived very late.

There are not many hotels in Cremona, and the Imperio is one of the few options. The hotel is simple and clean and the staff very nice. However, it is a basic, simple and functional hotel. Do not expect any fancy pillows, deliciously smelling soup or soft cozy lights.

Convenient location very near the violin museum and cathedral, which is why we were there, so we were glad we chose this hotel. Good selection at breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, recommended great nearby restaurants. Hard mattress. In Cremona, everyone eats late, so if you are an early sleeper, you will hear noise from the outdoor diners on the street below. A good stay, we would choose this hotel again.
