Named for our beloved pup Barney, who loved watching boats drift by from the bluff, this warm and comfortable retreat combines panoramic water views with practical, family focused amenities.
The single level layout makes living easy for all ages. The primary suite features a comfortable king bed, Roku TV, walk in closet, and a private bath with jetted tub and separate shower. Two additional bedrooms accommodate kids and adults alike, one with a queen bed and one with two bunk beds. A hall bath with double vanities and a tub and shower combination supports busy mornings after long lake days.
The fully equipped kitchen offers generous counter space, a center island with prep sink, full appliances, and a dedicated coffee station. An adjacent dining area and flexible living space allow you to spread out or gather together comfortably. Reclining seating, a large desk and workspace, books, and family games provide comfort beyond the water.
A standout feature is the sunroom overlooking the lake, complete with a 60 inch Roku TV, bar area, game table for eight, and comfortable lounge seating, ideal for movie nights, poker games, or relaxed evenings indoors. Step outside to the composite deck with multiple seating areas, an eight seat fire table, gazebo, propane grill, and a lakeside firepit. The fully gated deck with access to the back yard grass offers added peace of mind for children and pets.
Follow the 44 step stairway with resting landings to the private covered boat dock and swim deck. Guests enjoy access to a tandem fishing kayak and paddleboard. For families wanting a full lake experience, an optional 24 foot Sun Tracker pontoon with 150 horsepower (and 3-person tow tube) is available as a separate rental. Outfitted with swivel fishing chairs, loungers, a live well, electronic bimini and tow bar, it is ideal for fishing, cruising, or towing. Life jackets for guests and dogs are provided.
Pet friendly amenities include a full fenced yard, clean up station, and dog bed. There is additional parking space in back of the home.
All TVs include Roku with high speed 1 GB internet and access to more than 75 live channels, with the ability to log into your personal streaming accounts, making entertainment seamless after a day on the water.
Barney’s Bluff is built for memory making, from morning coffee with lake views to afternoons fishing or tubing and evenings around the fire watching the sunset over Smith Lake.
