Great location. We stayed in cabin 7.. it was ok.
The 2 queen rooms had multiple lamps and fans but no outlets to use them. The light in the bathroom had to be on for the outlet to work. We had to put the coffee pot in the sink to use it because the cord wouldn’t reach from anywhere else. Thankfully, part of our party came up on day two so we had them bring extension cords.
The bunk room’s entrance was outside off the porch. We have teenagers so the outside entrance was no big deal but it’s a bad set up for small children.
The only screened window in the cabin was in the bunk room. We had to open all the windows for cool air at night but we had no screens. There were lots of moths but keeping the lights off helped some. There were not too many mosquitos, thankfully!
Lots of spiders and webs around the cabin and lodge. It seemed like there haven’t been visitors for quite some time. A good pressure wash would make a big difference.
Hooks would have been helpful for hanging towels because there was no place to put them.
Sleeps 8 but there were only 3 dining chairs, 3 plates, 4 bowls and 4 sets of silverware. We had 5 people in our party, 8 would be impossible.
Overall, the cabin was staged to be *cute* but it was not very functional. The location was great though. Close, easy walk to the water and the dock was nice and well kept. Very peaceful and quiet.
My tip would be to bring extension cords, flash lights, a bug zapper, paper plates and utensils.
