The host was great and very quick to respond to any questions. Unfortunately, the house was not very clean and it felt like a sloppy flip house. There were missing light switch covers. Several of the cabinet doors didn’t fully shut or stuck when trying to open. Some cabinets just weren’t finished on the edges at all. There was grout missing between tiles. The paint looked like it had been just slapped on the walls.There were crumbs in the kitchen cabinets and on some of the cookware. Spilled spices and syrup on the shelves by the stove. The fridge had not been wiped out. Empty cooking oil bottle and other empty food boxes in cupboards. Stove trays were dirty and had crumbs. The kitchen was not stocked well for a family of 6 to cook and serve meals. A thick layer of dust and some pieces of garbage under all the beds. There is also a safety issue to address with the bunk beds. Both bunk bed frames were being held up by a stack of cinder blocks that were covered with a sheet so you wouldn’t see them. There was no house book for how to operate the tvs or appliance, WiFi info or expectations when exiting the house. Our family traveled halfway across the country to celebrate the holidays together. I realize the host will say we didn’t notify them immediately so they could make amends but honestly there was too much to fix and we just wanted to get on with our vacation and make the best of it. This was a very disappointing home to stay in for a VRBO.
