The location is convenient and safe. There’s parking on site. The beds are comfortable but bring your own pillows. There may have been mold in the AC unit. There was an air purification system in the room but I still woke up with a scratchy throat.

I checked in and went to my room and it smelled like urine. The front desk showed me 2 additional rooms, but they all smelled and looked to be broken into. I found another hotel. I asked for a refund and still haven’t received it

I booked their executive suite for 8 days with my son. The room was nasty. It smelled, there was a lot of rust, and there were lots of food crumbs and dust under the sofa. The ceiling paint was bubbling and peeling. The maids didn’t come, especially on the weekend, and the trash can I put outside the door was untouched for days. Even if it is free, I will never step foot in their rooms again. I am so disappointed, especially because I am in the executive suite.

Nice surprise

Overall, I found the Capitol Plaza to be a solid, comfortable, and convenient stay that deserves more credit than it often gets. I would happily stay again.

Room was very clean, but one light bulb was out. There are only two small lights in the room, no lamp on the desk, no microwave, no refrigerator. The sink would not drain and the toilet ran on and off all night. The AC didn't keep the room very cool and the water in the shower was lukewarm with the handle turned all the way to hot.

We were not given the type of room that we reserved. There was a damp, dirty towel On the sofa bed when we opened it. I had to go to front desk to get linens for sofa bed. The bathroom floor was dirty with grime around the base of the toilet. There was significant water damage on the ceiling in the shower. When I turned the shower on, the water was brown. It eventually cleared, but I was NOT going to use that water. They offered breakfast, but not until 7, but I don’t think we would have eaten there after seeing the brown water from our shower faucet. Overall, I’m sure this hotel was nice in 1984, but from the looks of it, it has not been updated since.
