Even though the blizzard and deep freeze derailed our plans by leaving the area without power for over 16 hours, Tyler saved the day by graciously putting our family up for the night at the charming and welcoming Highland Lodge. Tyler and house manager, Dave, constantly checked on us, providing updates from the power company and even offering to treat us to nearby indoor venues (pool, gym, tennis, movie theater, bowling) until we could get back in the Malibu House the next day. Without having to ask, Tyler extended our visit free of charge.
WOW is how I would describe this house! Every year, my husband and I go on a mini-vacation at a rental property with our three adult children, our son/daughters-in-law and our grandkids (currently ages 2-11). Everyone agreed that this was the best house yet–it was impossible to be bored! The movie theater, pool (with a reassuring security/safety system), arcade games, upstairs bedroom/playroom, kitchen, bedrooms with ensuites, house layout, etc etc, were thoughtfully planned for families. The frigid weather kept us indoors, but we enjoyed the view of the lake and occasional deer sightings.
The only problem with our next trip will be deciding which of Tyler and Emily’s properties to visit! I’m thinking we’ll have to experience them all!
