Joy of St Croix villa, formerly known as Green Cay with Envy, has an expansive open floor plan with 180° Caribbean Sea views. This new name change now matches our youtube channel, Joy of St Croix, which showcases the beauty around the island. 4 bedrooms - 2 with king sized beds and patio doors facing the sea, one with a queen sized bed & south facing patio/doors, and another with a queen sized bed and lots of privacy. Fully equipped kitchen to cook family sized meals. Dining room seats 10 easily, and the great room is lovely & welcoming, with books & games for children and adults. Walk 3 minutes to a secluded neighborhood beach on prune bay or 5 min to a calm bay with beach bar.

The villa is deep cleaned before each guest and has a 3,000 square-feet open floor-plan with amazing 180-degree north-facing Caribbean Sea views, including Vieques, St. Thomas, St. John, British Virgin Islands and Buck Island. And yes! On a clear day you really will be able to see those islands without binoculars.

Located just a few minutes east of downtown Christiansted in the secluded, highly desirable neighborhood of Green Cay, Joy of St Croix villa provides all the comforts of home with the added bonus of being just steps away from three spectacular St. Croix beaches; Prune Bay, Chenay Bay (home of the resort "Bungalows By The Bay "with kayaking, paddle boards & outdoor restaurant and bar) & Coakley Bay. You can walk to all of these!

From the back deck of Joy of St Croix, enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sailboats head to Buck Island. You definitely want to take a boat tour and snorkel here! The patio extends the length of the house and faces the Caribbean Sea. Grab some fresh local fish to grill while watching boats sail by or enjoy a glass of wine while gazing at the stars.

Point Udall is located 7.5 miles east of the villa and it's a sight not to be missed. A sundial known as the Millennium Monument was built above Point Udall for the New Year's celebration in 2000. Just before reaching the sundial, you'll find Jack and Isaac Bay Preserve - 300 acres of rolling hills skirted by white sand beaches, crystal waters and vibrant coral reefs. It's an unspoiled haven and one of the greatest treasures of the Virgin Islands. You can park and hike down to these amazing beaches. It may just be the closest experience you'll ever have to being on a deserted island - unspoiled beauty.

Christiansted is an 8-10 minute drive from the estate, and is the largest of the two towns located on the island. Sign up for a snorkel, parasailing or dive trip at one of the water sports locations, stroll along the boardwalk, or browse in the many eclectic boutiques and shops. The restaurants are quaint and usually offer open courtyard dining that feels very "old world". Don't worry - we'll provide a list of local favorites!

If you're looking for activity, the island has you covered. With the second largest barrier reef in the Caribbean, this place is a scuba divers dream! The dive sites are varied, and easy to access by boat and, in some cases, by shore. Nowhere else in the Caribbean can you dive a wreck, wall, pier and reef all in one day. You can even take all your course work online (about 5-10 hours total) and then do all of your in water work here in the Caribbean Sea! Feel free to ask us for advice on how to do this - our onsite manager often snorkels and scuba dives and is an experienced open water swimmer.

St Croix is 22.7 miles long and only 8 miles at its widest point. It's on the same latitude as Acapulco and Hawaii, and just below the Tropic of Cancer. It's an eternal summer here, with the average temperature in the mid-80s. We have snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, bio-luminescent tours, kayaking, deep sea fishing, spear fishing, parasailing, horseback riding on the beach……

Joy at St. Croix

We stayed at this house last year and again this year. It is larger than the three of us needed but offered everything we liked when vacationing. The house has 180 degree views of the Caribbean Sea with an island in the view. The kitchen is set up for cooking, with a gas stove and an outdoor gas grill. Nice dining room table with placemats, chairs, and benches. The set up is perfect with two bedrooms on each side of the open living space and a large washer and dryer so we can bring fewer clothes and keep towels, clothes, and swimsuits washed. Tonya is a great host and is very responsive. We love that she lives in the lower part of the house so we see her work on the gardens and keep up the yard.

Fabulous east end home

This house was perfect for myself, adult children and grands. Plenty of inside and outside space for all of us. Available for use 7 beach chairs, plenty of beach toys, 2 coolers, 2 umbrellas, shopping bags (for groceries so we didn’t have to buy them), books, games, beach towels and plenty of bath towels- all the essentials. We had an infant in our group and Tonya made sure there was an infant tub and pack and play for us. Having these essentials already there made traveling a lot easier! My grands loved the carambola tree and the tour she gave them of the property outside. Tonya was great with suggestions and tidbits of information. The space is exactly how it looks in the pictures! We highly recommend this place!

Perfect for a family vacation!

Our family spent a week in Tonya's beautiful home. It was spacious and well equipped for our group of six adults and two children ages 5 and 1. The Caribbean Sea views from the back deck are stunning. Quick walk to secluded calm beach, and also walkable to a beach bar with great drinks and delicious fish tacos, ceviche, chicken, etc, and a GORGEOUS beach. We spent nearly every day there. The house is convenient from the airport and Christiansted - great location. We did a sunset cruise and a Caribbean Night at Tamarind Reef with dinner, fire dancers, Caribbean Mocko Jumbie characters on stilts, and limbo contest for the kids. Great time and a very short drive from the house. We also visited the sundial and easternmost point in the US, and nature center. We were told that stargazing at the Sundial point is spectacular. The house has a great kitchen, and we had a pasta night and a pizza night there. Lots of room for the kids and for all of us to spread out in the living area. Stocked with toys/games, books, beach equipment including rolling coolers, floats, chairs, and umbrella, and washer/dryer in separate laundry room. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. The house does not have a pool, which was a requirement for us because of the children. With the beautiful, clear, warm sea at your doorstep, you don't need one. We spent all of our water time at the beautiful beaches. We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home!

Green Cay Great Stay

The house was larger than we needed with just three adults but it is exactly as described and shown by the pictures. The house was comfortable and roomy with plenty of outdoor space as well. Tonya was available for any questions and helpful about places to eat and beach. We learned that even if the weather does not look great do it anyway, it is warm and if you’re going to the beach a little rain doesn’t make much difference. Great place to stay.

Gorgeous property! Extra clean and spacious

We loved our stay at Green Cay! Tonya was wonderful and so accommodating. I loved that she met us at the house to show us around and answer any questions that we had. She was available during the week if we had other questions too. The house was so clean and everyone had plenty of room to spread out and just chill. The location was perfect and the neighbors were pretty much non-existent, meaning that we felt like the only people on that street. No loud parties, no nosy neighbors, we could sit on the deck and relax and talk. It was a wonderful week in a beautiful house and I don't have one thing to complain about! Great week in St Croix

We love St. Croix and have made about a half dozen trips over the last several years. This trip was my Wife's 50th Birthday, so I was taking the whole family and needed a bigger rental home to accommodate everyone. Tonya's home was perfect and all four bedrooms were comfortable and two have amazing views of the ocean. Her home is extremely clean and spacious and the views of the ocean are spectacular. Drinking a morning coffee on the deck while looking out at the ocean and listening to the waves is a great way to start the day. I would highly recommend staying at her home! Mike

Absolutely amazing!

The house was gorgeous and very clean with lots of little extras that made the stay more convenient... and the view is incredible! Tonya was so helpful and had all kinds of recommendations for what to do and where to eat. We were on vacation with friends and family and our kids asked to go back to the house to hang out more than once. We felt so welcomed the entire time. Definitely will be back!!

Green Caye was amazing!!! Absolutely beautiful, so easy to find, and an easy 5-minute walk to the beach. Close to Christainsted but not too close. The home, itself, is beyond beautiful!!! Everything you need for a wonderful vacation was there. Tonya, the owner, was incredible. She was extremely responsive, had great suggestions, and was really interested in supporting our wonderful vacation. I would definitely recommend this property and will stay again!

Perfect house for girls trip

The house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our trip of 6 women. It was very clean, comfortable and spacious with amazing views. Tanya lives on site and was very helpful in suggestions and a ride to the airport for some of us leaving later than the rest. A car is a must to get to most beaches and town. There are a few swimmable beaches within walking distance depending on the surf but recommend Bungalows on the Bay beach which has chairs, a beach bar and a swimming area. We highly recommend this house for your stay!

Green Cay is the place to stay!

My family and I couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. The home was very accessible for my mother who is in a wheelchair as everything was on one level. The view was amazing and being able to hear the ocean at night could not be beat. There was plenty of space to gather and we were very comfortable with a group of six. Tonya was an outstanding host was always available if we needed anything. There was a guide she had put together that had several beach and restaurant recommendations that we took advantage of. I will definitely stay here for any future visits!

The home was beautiful with exceptional Ocean views. My daughter, son-in-law and our two grandchildren shared the home for a week with my wife and me. Our family was visiting the island for our other daughters’ wedding and could not have selected a better place to stay. John, the caretaker was very friendly and easy to communicate with. If you are looking for a beautiful four bedroom home on Saint Croix, we highly recommend staying at this beautiful residence, of course that is unless it is going to be during one of the weeks when we all want to return to soak up some more of that Caribbean sun!

Heaven on earth!

There are just not enough words to say how much we loved our experience with not only this property, but John! My husband and I along with another couple just got back from our amazing 8 days at this beautiful property. My husband and I own a few vacation properties, so our expectations of cleanliness and property management are pretty high. I can say if you pick this property you will NOT be disappointed in any way! John was always extremely quick to answer any questions and was very organized and prepared with instructions for everything. He met us at the property when we first got there and showed us around and told us about all the great spots. He put together a fantastic book filled with all the things you should know about the house and site seeing in the area. He directed us to one of the best boat days we've had in the Caribbean, told us about all the best beaches and had a list of some amazing restaurants. He instructed us ahead of time of all the restaurants we needed reservations at and Im glad he did. The house......oh the HOUSE! We arrived to awesome music welcoming us. When the beautiful wooden doors opened I couldn't help but gasp at the amazing site! Pictures don't do this house justice. Its spacious and beautifully decorated. Every morning was spend looking out at the beautiful ocean views and every night was spend listening as the waves lulled you to sleep. The kitchen was stocked with anything and everything you could need. Everything was impeccably spotless. The beds were cozy and the linens were luxurious. Every thought was put into making sure you have all the comforts of home. We all had an amazing time and won't stay anywhere else when we return.
