Fab winter break in charming cottage

We loved this charming cottage in a beautiful location. It was warm and cosy and perfect for a winter break. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and conveniently situated for walking to excellent local shops, cafes and pubs. A real birthday treat!

Cute Cottage in Perfect Location

We absolutely loved our stay at Browns Cottage in Charlbury. What a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds with a wonderful village and pubs on our doorstep. The cottage had everything we needed, we loved the log fire and our family of 5 were perfectly comfortable for our 4 night stay. We would highly recommend this cottage for any family looking for a well-equiped, quaint stay in the Cotswolds.

Browns cottage was a gem

We had a great stay in browns cottage! The space was charming, with a lovely kitchen and modern amenities. The house had everything we needed for our family (including our parents and child). We hit quite a warm spell in late May, but we were happy they had portable fans in each of the rooms. We loved Charlbury and being nestled in a quiet non-touristy town. The restaurants and coffee shops were great, and 10-15 min walk to the train station. Free overnight parking was available on the street about 7 mins walk away. Our kid loved the playground next to the library. Would definitely return!

Lovely Cotswolds break

Delightful cottage, beds super comfy and we had a great stay. Would come back. Only little criticism was the back terrace could have been swept but didn’t spoil our stay.

Amazing stay at Browns

We loved our stay at Browns Cottage. Extremely clean, beautifully decorated, exactly as the pictures show. Ideal central location close to several gastro pubs and local stores. Only 15 minutes from Soho Farmhouse. Would highly recommend staying here and we can’t wait to go back.

This was my 2nd stay at Brown’s cottage and I honestly can’t fault it. It’s so beautifully designed, the beds are supremely comfy, the shower’s amazing. Just love it!

Enjoyable stay in the cotswolds. We had a couple of niggles but we would stay here again.

The property is very good and excellently located. Although the information suggests parking will be easy the parking referred to is for permanent residents or does not allow 24 hour parking. We were able to get parked up the hill quite close to the property. We couldn't get the kitchen underfloor heating to work but heating elsewhere was fine. I am sure this will be sorted quickly.

The location, comfort, and feel of the cottage was everything we were hoping for. What a superb location as well, just a stones throw away from one of the Cotswolds’ best pubs, The Bull. Will be returning and would highly recommend!

Lovely holiday cottage in Charlbury

Really enjoyed our stay at Brown’s cottage: it was well furnished and the beds were super comfy. The only downsides were the dryer did not work which was very challenging trying to dry washing and parking could be very hard, but I guess that is the nature of period cottages!

A short, but sweet stay in a lovely cottage

Two friends and myself really enjoyed our stay at Browns Cottage. It is very comfortable and well appointed. Charlbury is a small, pretty Cotswolds town. We had a fabulous meal in the garden of the newly renovated Bull Inn which is a few steps away from the cottage.

Brown’s is the Best!

Brown’s Cottage is the perfect retreat from London! The cottage is beautiful, clean, and so well-equipped. The village presents everything you need - a great pub, a cafe, a small grocery store, and a few really great walking paths. I’ve recommended the cottage over and over again to friends. It is simply the best!

Quick hiking break in the Cotswolds

If you are looking for a quaint cottage in the Cotswolds (with all the modern amenities), Brown’s Cottage is a great choice. Easy access to hiking and great local pubs. The grocery store store and post office are very close. If you are tall, you have to watch the beams in the living room; and you have to lug your suitcases up the stairs. All part of the quaintness. Easy train access to Oxford and London.

Girls break for best friends 40th birthday

A gorgeous cottage in the most amazing location - a stones throw from some lovely pubs. The cottage was clean, comfortable and the interiors were beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended the cottage to friends. We will be back one day! Thanks

Perfect for a short stay. We were happy bunnies!

We had a very relaxed stay at Browns Cottage in Charlbury. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were of a decent size and a great rain shower off the main bedroom. Dining area was clean and the place was bathed in sunlight. Two suggestions. A second set of keys would be handy, especially when there are four people staying and secondly in the summer it would be prudent to have a flat sheet on the bed, should one want to not use the duvet. But all in all, we were happy bunnies.

A lovely little cottage

The cottage was very cosy and comfortable, and we appreciated having three bedrooms and two bathrooms (albeit none downstairs). There was a good sized dining table, large fridge and all the kitchen amenities. Sofa was very comfortable and Sky TV in the lounge. Decent hairdryer, soft towels and toiletries provided. The location was lovely and perfect for our miles without styles walk on the first day. Lovely coffee at the deli a short walk away and a well stocked co-op 30 seconds away. We would stay again.

A great stay

We enjoyed our stay at Browns Cottage and the lovely Charlbury. We had an initial issue with the heating but would like to thank Debbie who helped to sort it out and, in particular, Darryl who rang and talked us through the process - whilst on his honeymoon!! Very comfortable and cosy cottage

We felt immediately at home at Browns Cottage, which was immaculately clean, extremely well stocked with every possible thing that we could have needed supplied. Beds were very comfortable with beautiful linen. Parking was a challenge but we did not move our cars over our two day stay, as we did a lovely walk from the cottage door - the Charlbury circular, via Cornbury Park and the pub at Finstock (about 5 miles, easy). The Bull pub is a few yards away and we enjoyed a tasty meal on one night.

Cotswold Perfection!

After an exciting Jubilee week in London, we came to the welcoming arms of Brown's Cottage. It was everything we imagined an English Countryside stay would be! The charming town of Charlbury was so very pleasant. The people we met were so welcoming! Needless to say, we did not want to leave this beautiful and well appointed cottage. We will dream of this vacation often! Thank you!

Great find

Such a lovely comfortable property. Well equipped kitchen. Just a shame that we booked for an early Christmas celebration with friends and dispite phoning up and being told the house would be decorated for Christmas to our disappointment it wasn’t!

Short break in Charlbury

Beautiful cosy cottage that has been thoughtfully decorated. Lovely comfy beds and tasteful country decor. Close to shops and Blenheim Palace. Please note that the free parking is, however, slightly misleading, as there is street parking if you can find a space. It’s very tight and not particularly easy to come by. One small car was manageable.

A lovely cottage close to key Cotswolds sites

We loved staying at Brown’s Cottage. It is a beautifully presented traditional cottage with modern conveniences - fast internet, Netflix, supermarket a few steps away. The only two things I would fix is to change the basin taps (having two confusing taps vs one - but at least they went into one mixer) and a better shower in the top bedroom (rather than a hand mixer over a bath). Otherwise it’s perfect.
