We have come to this resort many times but it seems to be getting less desirable to come. They kicked kids and teenagers out of the indoor pool last night. I can understand kicking them out of the indoor spa itself for the adults but not the pool. So if it rains hard, the kids must be swimming outside? That’s not family friendly. They also took a long time to provide pool towels and bath robes.

The hotel smells like urine and fecal matter. Room keys didn’t work several times and no noise barrier between walls. I almost fell head first into toilet because raised washroom floor entering from our bedroom. I had issues getting checked in had to wait 45 minutes. If could, would have requested payment back and stayed some where else.

Nice stay

The two nights stay was very relaxing and pleasing. The room in the original building was big and had that historic character. The bed was comfortable and everything you'd expect from a good hotel were there. The pools were nice but rather crowded, which is OK given how popular this resort is. The lobby was charming. Nice service and quick check-in and out. Self-parking was good.

The best thing about this Resort is the pool area. The hotel itself needs a serious renovation. All throughout the hotel the carpets are dirty and stained. Our room was okay but again it needs a refresh. The breakfast buffet was great, the pool area was clean and lots of seating. The location is spectacular.

Don’t stay in the east wing especially if you are older. It is too far to springs. Three out door pools with spring water but a lot of chlorine. Adult pool the hottest. Best pool is indoors and it is a sitting pool at 104. Place needs upgrades in the rooms; more so the bathrooms very old. Old showers; awful. Clothes line in bathroom great. Says it has ac but we couldn’t get the room to cool down. Staff were wonderful and very accommodating as we had 4 people in one room and needed more of everything. Copper Room was fantastic. Great food, live music. Main entrance not made for wheel chairs. Not sure how they deal with this. We didn’t need it but never saw anything.

The staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient but it was understaffed resulting in increased wait times and less than ideal service. The air conditioning didn’t work. The carpets should have been replaced a decade or two ago. Only one elevator out of two was working , once again resulting in increased waits.

Very nice server and check in staff. Needs a bit more upkeep- vacuuming, carpet cleaning. Pools are lovely. This hotel is a bit dated but worth it for the charm.
