The Lake is cool! The premises are beautiful. The negative was the hard sell to be a Member though we were not let in until 20 minutes after 4 pm. We also were not warned about a amenities fee when we only used the lake with our own kayak. I guess not conducive for a quick stay while in the area, and more of a resort destination. Also, the cleaning person inadvertently came in after 4:30 pm once we had already gone into the room. That was a little unnerving. No harm, no foul. Just a little awkward or a 'high end' resort imo.

big problems checking in to resort

hotel had just changed owner and new staff didn't know whay they were doing. Couldn't find record of my payment. Charging my roomate for extra costs. Still in limbo please try to help.

The front desk is clueless. I booked my Hotel stay in thru Expedia for 2 nights. I paid $343.63 for the booking thru Expedia. All I was suppose to pay at the Hotel was a resort fee of $53.66. I was charged $299.30 by Shenandoah FD and I was charged another $200.00 by Ascend Hotel Collection. I asked for an invoice from the Front Desk when I checked out. They said there was no reciept and no charges.

The checkin process was a disaster as they insisted I owed another $97. to my prepaid reservation. I totally agreed with the resort fee (although some resort amenities were not open/available). They later claimed Hotels.com had not sent payment for my reservation and I said that was their problem, not mine!! Double check your bill!

We were celebrating our 56 wedding anniversary and expected a nice stay but that is not what happened the cabin was dirty and there was a air confioner unit in closet with tabe around it when air came on there was a LOUD NOISE it sounded like someone bangi ng on tin I tried calling # i had no answed We left a day early eith no refund people at desk were rude

Great place for people of all ages. Several accommodation options. Rental of a golf cart to get around the resort was a plus. Many activities throughout the resort. Many good quality restaurants are available within a short drive. We really enjoyed wine tasting at Barboursville Winery in Barboursville, Va. Beautiful winery with knowledgeable staff. We are definitely looking forward to returning to Shenandoah Crossings in the near future.
Cozy two bedroom cabin with modern kitchen:microwave, full size oven, refrigerator, dishwasher. Nicely decorated living room … 3 tvs in the cabin ! CENTRAL A/C !! Beautiful sunsets !!!

Upon arrival I was charged an additional $160 on top of an advertised price of $189 which was unexpected. We chose this location based on the pools and amenities for families, the indoor pool was under construction, and the outdoor pools and activities were closed due to heat lighting. The neighboring room was very noisy until 1am, so not the best stay like we were hoping.
