The hotel was in a great location, with a short walk to the Harbor and Old Town. The staff was excellent, and we really enjoyed the view from the rooftop pool/bar area. Parking can be tough around the hotel due to nearby construction, but we'd highly recommend!

The breakfast was fabulous w varied foods, staff attentive to prepare egg dishes as requested or bring a sophisticated gourmet coffee to your table fresh fruits, local cheeses, meats & Cretan soecialities everything you could want plus the most fabulous staff, friendly courteous & helpful in every way. The rooms were perfectly clean w ebery attention to detail & we used all amenities. The rooftop pool bar & food prepared was also to perfection & cheerfully delivered w fantastic views of the ocean & old city! The climate control perfectly efficient & quiet for our comfort; plus a quality large sliding door to breezy private balcony gave us the option for fresh air, listening to the ocean waves so relaxing plus drying clothes on the provided rack. The bathroom had a huge vanity which was & a large modern shower, so convenient when getting ready. The location was perfect access to points of interest & staff went out of their way to help with parking…our car was always within view & accessible. This is 100% satisfaction which i’ve never encountered. Upon return to Crete we wont stay anywhere else but SanSal in Chania! I love SanSal staff Renata Sotiris Kostas Zoe Haris et al 💜

Really great new hotel! We had an executive suite with a large balcony overlooking the sea. The hotel is just at the edge of old town and the beach strip. Perfect! Away from the scrum but a 6 minute walk to get to the heart of old town or the beach and its restaurants. Parking provided at no charge. Breakfast was very nice. Local favorites! Fresh food. Alexia at reception really made our stay special! Wonderful warm greetings. Great advice on local spots. She really made the difference between good and EXCELLENT!

If you’re planning a stay in Chania and seeking an elevated hotel experience, this is the place. The location is excellent—close to the harbor and old town—while the staff, including Haris at the front desk, Kostas at the rooftop pool bar, and Apostolis in the breakfast area, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious, thoughtfully appointed, and exceptionally quiet. We will definitely be back!
