Clean, spacious and a very peaceful place. Recent renovations are lovely and the location was perfect for a quiet retreat. We loved the use of the kayaks and fishing from the little dock. The host was excellent and easy to contact leading up to the stay. Thank you for the welcoming bottle of wine too. Loved it.

Nice modern house close to lake Macquarie. Amenities are very good. Everything you need. Only downside was the shallow water (not perfect for swimming) and very quite surrounding. No cafe or similar

amazing short get away

had a great stay for 4 nights in very tranquil environment. The property was exactly like advertised. Loved kayaking on the lake. The dogs loved it also.

Well appointed property with great access to the lake. Hammocks and kayaks that came with the property made the weekend even more relaxing.

Peaceful and relaxing getaway

Had a lovely time.....the lake is lovely, with a lovely reserve that has lots of benches for sitting and admiring the view.

Lovely Relaxing Stay

We had a really relaxing stay. Good location. Clean. Property manager was responsive to our messages. Such a great place to just sit and relax. The kayaks were a hit with the kids.

Great lakefront spot

The lakefront location with the grassed area adjacent the garden was brilliant for both the people and the dogs for leisure and play. Kayaks were a great extra thanks. The property is neat and tidy with a great open plan space for family activities.

Lakeside getaway

The house is well equipped and very comfortable. It was great to have the fire for the cool nights. It was a nice touch to have the welcome bottle of wine and biscuits. Lovely sitting out the back and watching the sun set across the lake.

Lovely quite location and pet friendly

Lovely modern house with good appliances and everything you need for a weekend away. Bedrooms are very spacious and the furnishings were nice. Great location for water activities, it was nice having access to the pontoon/jetty to fish and watch the world go by. Very pet friendly the back yard is fenced . Good communication with property manager. It is in a very quite location and away it all.

Nice relaxing family break

We had a great time here. From having meals and socialising in the generous living area to the easy access to the lake behind the property for water activities the location and amenities are fantastic. There is plenty of things to do in the area, though a car is necessary (which we knew). When driving around the area it is a nice location, with lakes both north and south along with the national park and beaches not far away. Thanks very much!

Ron's Birthday Weekend

The place is fantastic and Kaitlyn the Agent was really amazing with her correspondence and prompt responses. The house offers plenty of varied spaces to relax and chill and the proximity to the lake was just awesome. Everyone commented as it was one of the best places they'd ever been to. Cheers. Ron

We had a very disappointing stay due to illegal campers at the back of the property. There were many people and they took over "our" jetty and were noisy. We felt watched and unable to enjoy the property. One night there was a fight between campers and residents due to fireworks being let off and dogs being spooked. Lots of yelling. I have reported the issue to the managing agent. Not a relaxing stay all.

We loved our stay!

We were a group of two families (4 adults and 4 kids) and we had the most wonderful stay! Communication with Kaitlyn and the team was easy, fast and much appreciated. The house was perfect - very clean, super comfy beds, well appointed kitchen, plenty of space for everyone. We loved the location and out look from the back towards the lake - particularly during the gorgeous sunsets we were treated to! Also a bonus were the kayaks which were enjoyed by all. We would love to return to Sunset Escape! Thanks for having us and providing a perfect place for our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were with a group of 6 friends, and we had the best relaxing weekend overlooking the calm lake and the natural quiteness. The property is very well maintained inside and outside with an extended deck which allows you to laze around the whole day . The owners and property managers have taken a lot of efforts to give the customers , us a special experience . Thank you we really enjoyed our stay .

Excellent stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. Relaxed and peaceful area. The house was perfect for us and had all we needed. Spotless (compliments to the cleaners). We did not attempt to use the table tennis because it appeared to have issues. (Wheel missing and broken strut). We would definitely stay again. It was just what we were after. Thankyou.
