Perfect Getaway At Salty River Oaks

Much needed extended weekend family getaway. Myself, my husband, 2 adult children (with their significant others) and our dog.Our first time staying here, Salty Oaks is the perfect pet friendly property for your family. Located on the sound side with breathtaking water views and sunsets.The house was beautifully decorated, very clean and had all the amenities that you could possibly need...and then some. As an OCD'er, there were precise and the most perfect instructions in a neat binder, as well as throughout the house, on how to use the updated conveniences. We brought our boat and jet ski with us as this property has a large driveway to accomodate both. Conveniently located just across the highway is Cedar Point public boating access. For years we've parked on a sandbar just at the inlet/outlet. It really makes for the perfect 'beach day'. Or you can cruise the ICW for hours.Curtis is 'The Host With The Most'! Communication is on point, quick responses and he just makes you feel welcome. We can not wait to book this property again and will highly recommend it to all of our friends.

Easter Weekend Get-A-Way

House is great and has plenty of amenities. We wish we knew that the boat dock and lift are not accessible for most boats due to the shallow canal. Other than that, great experience.

Great house!

This was a great house for my family of 6! Very clean, lots of towels, and I didn’t see one bug the whole week (you never know when you’re staying on the water in the Carolinas!). Hot tub and the backyard in general were awesome, perfect place for campfires. Curtis was super attentive and available when the screen door needed fixing. We would absolutely stay here again if we ever visit the area again.

Just like advertised! AMAZING!

Not one complaint about this place. So beautifully decorated, cleanest vrbo I have ever been in. There was about 8 of us and there was enough towels, enough room, it was just a great stay. Great location… host was quick to respond to any of my questions. Highly recommend! They thought of everything…. just thoughtful touches everywhere you turned!

Our stay near the water was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The dock outlooking the water and a majestic tree in the back yard is another great experience for the senses. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, filled with a great Sonos experience in all main rooms/outside, and thoughtfully equipped for everyday. Whether it was sipping coffee while watching the sunrise or relaxing during the evening on the porch, perfect. We can’t wait to return for another stay!

Great place for a family stay with a fantastic atmosphere!

We had a great time at this property. We had our kids and grandkids with us and there was so much space! The property has anything you would ever need and Curtis has thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. We were especially impressed with all the toys they had for the kids. It kept the little ones busy! This property has everything you need and more. All you need to do is pack your suitcase and show up! We loved it there and would stay there again.

Perfect for every activity

We really liked kayaking from the backyard dock. The house is beautiful, well-furnished, and has every amenity. We appreciated how modern it is, with great wifi and with USB ports all over. The game room is a real vacation-saver on a rainy day. And it's an easy drive to area attractions like the NC Aquarium, Fort Macon, Beaufort and Morehead City. We'll be back!

Wonderful property on the waterway. The house is very nicely decorated and very accommodating. Has a lot of up to date technology. Perfect for all members of the family. Close proximity to restaurants and shopping. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect get-away with so much to offer (inside and around the area!)

We had a fantastic vacation here. The house was amazing and well stocked with tons of amenities, by far one of the best houses we've rented! So many things to do around the area as well. The owners went over the top to make sure this stay was the best! Would definitely stay here again!!

Fantastic Home For All Ages

This house was fabulous with great hosts! It was very clean, nicely decorated, comfy beds, and so many extra amenities. We had 2 kids and 5 adults, ranging in age from 4 to 76 and there was plenty of room to spread out and so much at the house to entertain us all. Our group especially enjoyed the game room, hot tub, tree swing, fishing (caught several good size redfish, black drum, and flounder), and just relaxing out on the porch enjoying the views. The location was great with Swansboro and Emerald Isle being so close, plus we made a day trip up to Beaufort and Cape Lookout to see the lighthouse. We will definitely be back!

Great Family Spot

We enjoyed our stay and our host was great. This was a perfect spot for our family vacation. We enjoyed fishing from the pier, playing in the game room and just relaxing and enjoying the house, yard and sunsets in the evening. Would recommend to others.

Pristine views and wonderful accommodations.

We had family and friends over for several gatherings to celebrate my wife’s retirement from teaching in local area. Absolutely wonderful spaces for relaxation and socializing. Would highly recommend for small gatherings, trips to beaches, swansboro foodies and all things water and sun.

Spring Break Get Away

This is a very special property and the owners do a fantastic job of making your stay as hassle free as possible. Curtis is very responsive to any messages or questions. He even came to the property on our first night to show us where they Kayak’s and life vests were and how to get them in the water easily. There are plenty of supplies from paper towels to extra toothbrushes….they have you covered. The downstairs game room was a big hit with the kids and adults alike and the view of the water was lovely.

It has it all!!

This home has Something for everyone & every mood! Weather you want to relax & enjoy the beautiful waterfront views or soak in the CLEAN hot tub- fish & explore from the dock, super fun game room downstairs with an office- fully equipped kitchen & grill to cook your own meals, or quick drive over to restaurants & boutique's to eat & shop! We enjoyed our romantic weekend gettaway to the fullest! AND did I mention the BEACH is just a short drive away too. Beautifully decorated with comfy beds & furniture. This property offered us plenty to do when it rained and when the weather was nice. Loved the game room and the well equipped kitchen. The fir pit allowed for relaxing outside after the sun went down. Short drive to the beach. Everything was lovely and we would definitely rent again.

Great family weekend!

Perfect stay!

Wonderful house! Owners were friendly and easy to communicate with. The property is very clean and the master bed was incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was perfect to enjoy during the chilly evenings and the views were great. We’ve been to this area many times and this was our favorite house we’ve stayed at.

above my expectations

everything was clean, it basically had everything we needed or could have thought of. My family truly enjoyed themselves and could not stop talking about how amazing this house was. The private dock was the icing on the cake. My mom and husband caught some nice size fish. I will definitely be recommending this location to all my family and friends.
