Perfect location, beautiful home

We enjoyed our stay at the Tyson House very much. The home is well furnished & beautifully decorated with many fabulous & location/period appropriate accessories. Fully stocked kitchen, lots of linens. The location is fantastic. The Cedar Key Historic Museum is just across the street. We rented a golf cart. Which was perfect because it was hotter than hades. The golf cart created a breeze & made parking & zipping around the island easy. Had breakfast at the 2nd Street Cafe one day, brunch at the Pickled Pear one day & Steamers for dinner. I’d recommend all three. We wanted to try 83/29, but it was raining the 2nd night & we were lazy & got takeout lol. My husband & I would definitely stay here again. I’ve already checked one weekend - it’s booked.

Charming House with perfect location

This house is furnished beautifully. Furniture is comfortable. Kitchen is up to date and has everything you could possibly want. The beds are comfortable. TheTV worked great too. The location is within walking distance to everything…..restaurants, shops and the water….well maybe you would want to drive to the Tiki Bar but you definitely want to visit it! Thank you for a memorable trip in a comfortable house.

Great house, great location!

We needed a short little get-a-way that would be relaxing and low key. This was the place. Had a wonderful time and the house was just lovely. It has so much character yet so comfortable at the same time. Would highly recommend the Tyson House.

Beautiful area

Loved the town and the Tyson house, quick trip to the beach via golf cart, kids had fun riding around checking out the area. Very close to shops, restaurants, and sunset was awesome

We very much enjoyed our stay. Love the back deck. Bathrooms were a little odd with double entry. It’s was a little warm When we arrived but got the house nice and cool. 90 degrees outside during our stay. Thanks for a great time!

Just returned home from 3 nights at Tyson House. I thought the pictures online looked inviting, but they do not even do this wonderful home Justice! This house is not just wonderful, the decor is amazing! The location couldn’t be better and Cedar Key is just fun! Would actually like to own this little gem! This is well located. Come in on the main route, take a quick right-hand turn and there it is on the left! Quick walk from a breakfast spot, Dock Street, the marina, etc.

Cedar key trip

Always easy and we love the location. Golf cart was out for repair but we were able to get one down the road. Love the covered porch now! I’d like to buy the old palm tree sitting on the back porch the past two times I’ve been there. It need repaired and I could restore it! Please let me know.

Great short stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and convenient. Short distant walks to stores, restaurants, and other entertainment locations. Fishing was great and we will definitely come back to Cedar Key.

Long weekend in Cedar Key

Great location and a beautiful little property. Only issue was the lack of cleanliness and proper pest control. I'm a Floridan, born and raised, so palmetto bugs don't really bother me but this was excessive. The back bathroom and kitchen had literal swarms of them. We disposed of 15 in the first 2 hours of arrival and then another 6 the following day. Luckily there was a can of indoor raid under the sink we were able to use and that helped. I informed the property manager immediately and then had the pest control company respray as soon as we left so hopefully the next guest won't have to deal with it. Fortunately, we spent most of the day on the water or around town but the bugs and general lack of cleanliness made it very difficult to want to stay in the property. We won't stay at this specific property again but we will use this property manager for our next trip because of their quick response and service in making things right.
