Casa de montaña relajante frente al lago

Briarcliff Lodge es una relajante casa de montaña frente al lago situada cerca de las encantadoras ciudades de Cashiers and Highlands en Carolina del Norte y sentada directamente a orillas del lago Glenville. A solo poco más de una hora de la funky Asheville, nuestra casa es el lugar perfecto para alejarse con amigos y familiares.
Nuestra casa consta de 3 pisos completos, cada uno con su propia terraza, 2 cocinas completas, 4. 5 baños, 3 chimeneas, 3 televisores (Hulu, Netflix y cable) y muchas áreas de descanso acogedoras; todo lo que conforman casi 4,000 pies cuadrados. 4 habitaciones, cada una con cama king size y baño completo, así como una cama queen murphy y un colchón de aire disponible hacen que nuestro lugar sea cómodo para un máximo de 12-15 personas.
Nuestro sótano recién terminado hace que sea un gran espacio para entretener y desahogarse. Equipado con una segunda cocina, mesa de billar, gran pantalla plana / área de asientos y una mesa de futbolín.
El espacio al aire libre hace de nuestra casa el lugar perfecto para vivir al aire libre / interior; con un nuevo muelle / plataforma de baño (20x20), puede atracar su embarcación y embarcaciones de agua personales o alquilarlas en el lago, 2 fogones al aire libre para entretenerse, comer en la terraza o visitar restaurantes locales en la ciudad.

Las fogatas al aire libre frente al nivel principal tienen vista al lago Glenville para reuniones rústicas alrededor del fuego. Un segundo pozo de fuego al aire libre se encuentra cerca del muelle.

Family Getaway

Our family had a wonderful week at Briarcliff! The house was clean and had everything we needed. Doug was a great host! The lower level of the house had a foosball and pool team that kept our children entertained all week. We hope to make a return trip during the summer to enjoy the lake!

Location Location Location!!

We spent a lovely week on the Lake at Briarcliff Lodge. Although dated, very well appointed with almost everything you need. The owner was easily accessible when we had questions. We can recommend Briarcliff lodge especially for large groups....we were only 3 people and dog so we used only half of the space available!! Sitting out on the porches or down on the dock were the highlight of our time there. The view of the lake is great and truly enhanced our stay. Thanks Doug!!

Paradise in the mountains

The communication with the host was exceptional and the property was magnificent. The views to the lake are breathtaking. Each night we gathered around the fire pit and enjoyed the crisp evenings. Three of the four bedrrooms are master suites. The 4th did not have a window or vent, but was still comfortable. The host provided us with a lot of information about the area and we wound up renting a pontoon boat and spent an afternoon cruising around the 26 mile lake. It was an awesome place for our annual reunion of 4 retired military couples.

Great stay

The lodge was very roomy and really nice amenities. Even though it was over Thanksgiving and cold we had a great time. Our kids and grandkids had the best time. Will probably stay again.

4th of July at the lake

We could not have been happier with the location and view from this beautiful home on the lake! The home is very spacious and has all of the amenities. The property owner could not have been more helpful and attentive. Our family had a wonderful week at the lake. Thank you!

Great townhouse

Briarcliff was exactly as advertised: convenient & beautiful location, large (shared) dock, two fire pits, and plenty of space for a big family. The actual parking lot in front of the house is a little tight as others have written, however, the Trillium Lakeside restaurant is right next-door and they have three levels of parking. The owner Doug was very informative and responsive.

Fantastic Lake House

The house is located in a great spot on Lake Glenville and has tons of space for multiple families to be together but also have their own space. It was very well appointed in the kitchen also and the fire pits got tons of use!

Family vacation

The cabin was so spacious and very well stocked! The beds were all king size so no sibling issues fighting for the king bed! The dock was amazing , we were outside everyday relaxing fishing or sitting around the fire pit . Honestly it was so nice with everything we needed no one wanted to go out . We rented a pontoon boat for a day , highly recommend . Thanks Doug for sharing your wonderful family retreat !

Briarcliff Lodge

Our stay at Briarcliff Lodge in Cashiers, NC was so relaxing! The home itself is beautifully set up for large groups. We had 8 people and never felt crowded, with 3 separate floors everyone was able to have their own space when wanted and come together to play pool or foosball whenever! We made dinner for 2 of the nights we stayed and found everything you would needed, just like at home:) The owner Doug has done a fantastic job of outfitting home and also communicating back to us quickly if we had any questions. And the views of Lake Glenville are just stunning. We spent many hours just sitting on one of three decks or on the boat dock, watching wildlife and the glorious fall leaves. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

Great stay on the lake!

Pros: Home is great for large families w/ kids, as it has two living levels, both with full kitchens. Great lake views, and access. Location is very convenient to Cashiers and surrounding areas. Host was very kind to allow for an early check in for some family that flew into town early. Lake is beautiful, and has 3 waterfalls leading into it. Cons: This home is a duplex, and the dock is shared. There is absolutely no reason this shouldn't be clearly stated in the listing. We found out via another review just a few weeks before our arrival. Fortunately, we were very lucky that no one else was renting the home next to us. Had there been a family our size trying to utilize the dock like we were, it would have been a major issue considering we had no reason to believe it wasn't private. The furniture was suitable, but is quite dated. Parking is tight.

Excellent vacation spot

This property was absolutely perfect for our family that included our grandchildren. The large accommodation was spotless, well appointed and with a great location near town. Doug, the property owner, was excellent with communications and very customer focused. His property is well maintained. The parking is a bit tight but was able to accommodate three vehicles, a rarity in the mountains.

Perfect weekend

My friends and I all stayed here for the wedding weekend of one of our friends, and we had a fantastic weekend. We really loved all the space and room to spread our, but also of course the fire pit and the dock right on the lake. The pullout sofa was broken, but the host was very quick to assist once I informed him of the problem. Overall highly recommend this house. Hopefully we can stay again soon!

Summer on the lake

Although we were a little surprised that the rental was actually a duplex and the parking was a bit tight for my suburban, the house was great. A lot of living space on the three levels allowed everyone their own space. Everyone had a great time playing foosball and pool! Enjoyed drinking coffee on the deck every morning and watching the activity on the lake. Our family and friends had a great time!

Good Lake House

The house was well-located on the shore of Lake Glenville and well-equipped. It has three floors, each with its own full apartment. Ideal for accommodating a large group. Some aspects of the house could use some updating and minor repairs. But it was a very comfortable place to stay. Take note that it is a duplex. But we had no problems with the neighbors. Parking is a bit tight.

The manager was very easy to work with. We didn’t know until we arrived that it was not a single family home, it’s actually an attached home. The kitchen was well stocked. The lake fire pit was not available for our use but the back one was. The furnishings and decor are dated but comfortable. We had to move chairs from other rooms in order for the 7 of us to sit together in the family room. The dining room accommodated all of us together. There was mold on the master shower curtains.

Great location on Lake Glenville

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is perfectly located on Lake Glenville. We loved spending time on the dock. It would really be perfect for 3 couples-each could have their own floor. All have balconies, kitchens, and private bathrooms. It was a great escape from Hurricane Ida!

Great getaway short or long stay

Room and more room. All you need to enjoy a relaxing time in the mountains with the great benefit of being on the lake. Fully furnished with all you need. Firewood for outside fire pit, Gas grill with plenty of propane tanks. Great family environment for all occasions.
