The location of the property and the view are excellent. Everything else was disappointing. The property has aged and needs significant updates. The building is old; to enter or exit you must climb 14 stairs — a problem for anyone with a handicap. The flat looks tired with its worn living room and master bedroom carpets, moldy grout in bathrooms and leaky shower doors. The ancient clothes dryer is broken and has a door held on by scotch tape; there’s a hole in the master bathroom wall covered up by a mirror which rattled with the wind from outside. The worst part is the flat gets extremely hot in the afternoon due to the greenhouse effect. The AC is only in the master bedroom; the living room fan often overheated and stopped working after a couple of hours.The only way to mitigate the afternoon heat was to block the sun by closing the blinds— also blocking the beautiful view. The managing agent Nox was supposed to be the premier agency in town but we had several problems with them almost every step in the process that caused unnecessary aggravation and affected our stay. To list a few: not present at the property on agreed meeting time; house keeping no shows (3 out of 5 days); agent showing up to check us out a day early; agent requesting early access before standard 10 am check out; trying to double charge move out cleaning fees and insurance; not responding to problems we identified. Miscommunication by AI seemed to the cause of some of the problems.
