Una estancia magnífica con un anfitrión fantástico

El alojamiento es simplemente perfecto ubicado en un precioso y tranquilo rincón de la Toscana. La casa estaba decorada con gusto, creando una sensación de confortabilidad. Contiene todo lo necesario además de estar todo muy limpio y en perfecto funcionamiento. También hay que destacar la amabilidad, profesionalidad y cercanía del anfitrión, Jim quien hizo nuestra estancia aún más agradable.

Beautiful getaway

Beautiful and convenient location in Tuscany making visits to nearby cities and towns very reasonable with a car. Unit was very comfortable and easily accomdated 4 adults.

Ruhige Lage, etwas wenig Ausstattung

sehr entspannter Aufenthalt, bei warmem Wetter ist sicher auch der Pool sehr schön. Ein Auto ist zwingend erforderlich. Für Rennradfahrer nur ok, da man das erste Stück über Schotter schieben muss. Die Ausstattung ist leicht verbesserungsfähig, aber o.k. Wir hätten uns mehr Haken in den Bädern und Ablagen gewünscht. Insgesamt gut zum Runterkommen. Gute Restaurantempfehlungen in der Hausmappe.

cadre buccolique - chambre à coucher problématique

- excellente localisation sur les collines au nord-est de Lucca, sachant qu'il y a 1km de route non-goudronnée - excellente prise en charge par Martina - par contre, une des deux chambres de la Casa Lucchese donnait sur le passage avant. Cela présentait deux désavantages majeurs: 1) illumination nocturne faisant de la nuit le jour: il a fallu fermer les volets pour avoir de l'obscurité, ce qui a malheureusement empêché la fraicheur de la nuit de rafraichir la chambre. Dommage de ne pas pouvoir dormir les fenêtres ouvertes dans un lieu aussi buccolique. Même après une réduction de l'intensité du projecteur lumineux du haut, le dehors restait à notre goût trop illuminé. 2) la terrasse juste devant cette chambre à coucher était à notre arrivée réservée à l'appartement voisin. Imaginez avoir des voisins devant votre lit avec juste un rideau comme séparation. A la fin de la première semaine, à notre demande, il y a eu un échange de terrasse, l'appartement voisin ayant reçu la terrasse adjacente à notre living. Evidemment que cela n'était pas très pratique non plus et que cela ne résolvait pas entièrement le problème de privacité. Au total, la répartition des parties privatives était améliorable.

Très agréable séjour dans la campagne toscane proche de Lucca

Logement confortable et au calme, où vous serez heureux de vous reposer et de profiter de la piscine à vos retours d’excursion. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Petit conseil : la fin du chemin pour accéder à cette belle location est en cailloux et un peu accidentée, donc n’est pas conseillée pour les voitures trop basses. Mais ce n’était pas un problème pour nous.

Quiet Country Property

We truly enjoyed our stay at this place, It was so quiet and comfortable. Martina was a great in communicating with us and in dealing with any issues that we may have. She helped to set up a wine tour for us and in directing us to different sights that we wanted to see. I would definitely recommend this place.

Schöner Urlaub … aber …

Wie Waren als Familie vor Ort. Das Haus und Anwesen war wie beschrieben. Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur war gut. Nadja u. Domenico geben ihr bestes u. sind auch sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Der Pool wird leider nicht täglich gereinigt, dass habe ich als Gast übernommen, damit meine Kinder immer schwimmen konnten. Außerdem stimmte der Chlorgehalt nicht. Erst zu wenig u. dann viel zu viel. Die Augen brannten. Positiv: Handtücher, Bettwäsche war steht sauber vor Ort in der ,,Wäscherei“ zu finden. Die Anlage ist sauber! Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub und absolut empfehlenswert! Wir kommen gerne wieder. PS: Die Zufahrt zum Anwesen ist eine Zumutung und hier sollte man Geld in die Hand nehmen, um ein einigermaßen vernünftige Straße zu bauen.

Super schöne Anlage

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in einer sehr gepflegten Anlage.Betreuung war super. Lediglich die Anfahrt ist auf dem Kiesweg zum Haus etwas abenteuerlich, aber mit normalen Autos machbar.

Great apartment with a wonderful pool

We had a wonderful stay at the apartment! The pool was great and the apartment was really nice. The road to the house is a bit of a challenge as it is mostly gravel, but you have a really nice view from the pool!

Urlaub in der Toskana

Ein wunderschönes Anwesen, mit viel Liebe zum Detail saniert. Unser Appartement war sehr schön eingerichtet, es hat an Nichts gefehlt. Jim kümmert sich um alles, hat fantastische Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung und ist sehr hilfsbereit. Er war jederzeit erreichbar. Es gibt einen Grill, Wäscheständer, Waschmaschine, ausreichend Liegen am Pool sowie Sonnenschirme und eine große Box mit allerlei Spielzeug für den Pool. Anwesen, Garten und Pool sind äußerst gepflegt und sauber. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und können diese Ferienwohnung in jedem Fall empfehlen. Mille grazie Jim!

Awesome place

The host Jim is really great and helpful and the place is super nice and clean. Great pool area. We highly recommend this place for a stay in Toscana. Close proximity to Lucca and Florence among other inspiring places.

I warmly recommend it!

We were very pleased to find such a nice place, very clean, with a lovely deco, the beds are very comfortable and a nice welcome basket was awaiting us. We had some problems with the WiFi and Jim has answered very quickly and and did everything to solve the problem. Jim is a very mindful and friendly host, I can just warmly recommend his accommodation and would be to come back again! Thank you for everything Jim! 😊

Relax al Borghetto

Quest’anno i miei amici ed io, avevamo bisogno di una parentesi rilassante. Questa casa oltre ad essere bellissima e funzionale è posizionata in cima ad una collina contornata solamente dai suoni della natura. Il proprietario (Jim) è una persona squisita sempre disponibile. Dalla casa del borghetto si possono raggiungere in pochi minuti i servizi di prima necessità, e ristoranti con piatti tipici del luogo. Per noi è stata un’esperienza più che positiva!

A beautifully restored farmhouse on lovely grounds

Il Borghetto has been a perfect place for us to stay for a month each year for the last 4 years. It is beautifully situated in the hills near Lucca. The location is great for exploring the Lucca area, Florence, Pisa, Chianti area, and over to the Ligurian Coast. Close by are many wineries where you can enjoy the Tuscan wines. There are great restaurants nearby. A hiking trail is adjacent to the property. The apartments are well-equipped and very comfortable. Jim is an excellent host and source of information about the area. We hope to return again and again!

Lovely location & beautiful property

We had a fabulous 4 days at Il Borghetto - partly thanks to the excellence of our hosts Jim & Debbie. With their attention to detail, excellent local knowledge and contacts, plus their ability to speak good Italian, we could not fault it. The property and specifically our apartment were well finished, very clean & tidy and in such a lovely setting. From there we were able to visit Lucca & Florence - both a must for any traveller - and relax around the pool if we needed to. We'll be back

Perfect in every way!

After traveling in Italy for four weeks Il Borghetto was the perfect way to end our trip. The property is beautiful inside and out. Comfortable beds, modern kitchen and baths, and well equipped for cooking. The nicer, newer quality of the utensils, dishes, furniture etc at Il Borghetto are not always found in rental homes. Jim was very helpful with recommendations and quick to respond to any questions we had. We were able to travel to Florence, Castellano Verrazano winery, San Giminagno and Sienna with ease. We always looked forward to relaxing by the pool after a day of sightseeing. I highly recommend this property!

Wonderful house on the countryside

After a very warm welcoming by Jim we enjoyed a very relaxing stay at Il Borghetto di San Gennaro. The house is located in a very nice and calm Place. Our apartment was very functional and the garden and the pool were amazing. Jim was very helpful in advising us about things to see in the area.

Very high quality Tuscan country apartment

Beautifully renovated apartment. A great deal of thought and attention had gone into making sure everything visitors need was available - from the welcome pack of food basics - but also things like supermarket bags, bin bags, loo roll, washing up liquid, charcoal - often absent in holiday homes. Everything was new. Lovely bathrooms. Jim was easily available and very helpful and friendly. Friendly visitors in neighbouring apartments. We had a great time. Very well situated for Lucca, Florence, Pisa, the coast and the mountains

Excellent holiday

Our appartment was superb with modern conviences without losing the authentic details of the house. Until the smallest details, everything was taken care of. Helemaal top!

Vanaf het moment van ontvangst door eigenaar Jim, voelde we ons thuis. Alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Bij aankomst lag een heerlijke fles prosecco klaar in de ijskast en een mandje met pasta en andere heerlijkheden voor de eerste avond. Woning is compleet en top ingericht. Luxe keuken van alle gemakken voorzien. Zwembad was super met uitzicht op olijfgaarden. Heerlijke vakantie waar we echt tot rust zijn gekomen en nog lang van nagenoten hebben. We gaan hier zeker terugkomen.

A beautiful new addition to a great property!

We stayed at one of the other units in this property this past summer and thoroughly enjoyed our experience - pool/privacy/amenities/etc. This new unit is equally charming. Everything feels so classically Tuscan, while still being totally new and comfortable. Good beds, linens, towels, etc. Kitchen supplied with all the necessities to cook your favorite pasta in the evening when you don't feel like going out. We were even able to entertain some friends staying nearby because the table seats eight. Jim was not only a great host, but also a knowledgable concierge. He responded quickly to our requests and was able to direct us to restaurants and sights that aren't in the tourist guides. I would highly recommend this property for a large group of friends or family because there are a number of units that can be rented together - providing together AND alone time.
