The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi connection was inconsistent, possibly due to our room’s location at the end of the first floor. Breakfast could use some improvement, as it felt a bit disorganized. Adding more self-serve options may help guests move through more efficiently. There were times when utensils ran out, causing delays while waiting for replacements. Additionally, pancakes were served all at once rather than through a pancake machine, which required guests to wait nearby to get some.

We were told to call ahead to set up service for a free shuttle, which I did several times and when I arrived nobody answered I called at least 20 times and nobody answered at the lobby. We had to get another form of transportation because no one picked us up. When we got to the hotel the front desk said oh really we haven’t heard anything on the phone and didn’t even apologize or do something about it. They also told us we had free transportation back to the airport but once again they didn’t want to take us and we had to use an Uber. Very upset and won’t use again.

We stayed at Hyatt Place Cancun Airport on Christmas Eve. We were guests staying in Room 517. The hotel itself is very nice, with clean rooms and a pleasant overall stay. However, the restaurant’s payment handling and service by the staff member named Javier were uncomfortable. After ordering, Javier asked whether we would pay by cash or credit card; we said either was fine. When the food arrived, he brought a handwritten bill and asked us to pay immediately in cash. We said we would pay later, but Javier returned multiple times requesting payment. On the third request, we asked to speak with a supervisor. Javier told us the supervisor was not working due to Christmas and stated that he himself was the person in charge. After being informed that no supervisor was available, we decided to leave the restaurant before finishing the meal. At checkout, Javier said, “You don’t need to pay because you are going to report me.” We found this inappropriate, and therefore insisted on paying the full bill and, out of courtesy, also left a tip before leaving. Overall, the communication, attitude, and payment process were unprofessional and inconsistent with our expectations of the Hyatt brand. We hope the hotel will review this incident and improve the restaurant’s service and payment procedures to prevent similar situations.

Clean & nice. Breakfast was so chaotic. They kept running out of everything. When someone would ask a staff member, they replied in a rude manner, "we're very busy. We'll get to it when we can." My son and I waited 15 min for maple syprup and a fork. It never came, so he ate his pancakes with jelly and his hands. They ran out of milk, so he couldn't even eat a bowl of cereal.

The staff are wonderful and the rooms are very clean. Breakfast is delicious. If it is busy it can take awhile to check in or out so leave yourself time. Also the shuttle is NOT guaranteed to the airport so don't be surprised if you need to order an Uber.

I told the hotel bus driver that my flight was on JetBlue. The driver dropped me off at Terminal 3. JetBlue is at Terminal 4. I paid $30 in Taxi fare to get to the right terminal!!!
