Ruhige Oase mit wunderbarem Ausblick
Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Rainbow Cottage. Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur lief hervorragend ausschließlich digital und hat wunderbar funktioniert. Das Häuschen selbst ist sehr gemütlich und gut aufgeteilt. Der Garten verfügt über ein schönes Pavillon, aus dem man einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Atlantik genießen kann. Allerdings haben wir Liegen mit Kissen doch sehr vermisst. Die Location ist hervorragend, um sich gezielt auf Wanderpfade oder zu touristischen HotSpots zu begeben und danach in Ruhe zu relaxen ohne Touristenalarm.Leichte Abzüge in der Bewertung gibt es allerdings für Bad und WC. Dieses befindet sich in einem Anbau außerhalb des eigentlichen Wohnhauses, so dass man bei Nacht den Wohnbereich verlassen muss - das hätten wir gerne vorher gewusst. Aber eigentlich kein Problem, wenn man sich daran gewöhnt hat, bei Regen halt etwas nass. Etwas schwieriger war, dass das Bad extrem feucht ist, sobald es regnet. Die Wand ist bröselig und man lernt schnell nicht barfuß zu gehen. Aber wer sich nicht scheut zwischendurch den Putzlappen in die Hand zu nehmen und mit dem vorhandenen Lufttrockner zu arbeiten, für den bietet das Rainbow Cottage alles für einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt auf Madeira. Zum Schluss noch ein Restaurant-Tipp: Das Farolim in Ponta do Pargo liegt nur 5 Autominuten entfernt und bietet sehr gute Küche zu fairen Preisen.
