Comprising four double bedrooms, three lounges and kitchen equipped for the keenest chef this is the perfect place to meet friends or family, for a weekend, midweek stay or longer. The cottage is set in a beautiful unspoilt village close to Historic Burford and all the main Cotswold attractions. Equipped to the highest standards it has all the tradition of a centuries old cottage with all the contemporary interior design and luxury fit out you will enjoy. Walk to the local pub just a few steps away or walk over the fields to the nearby medieval town of Burford.


The Chestnuts cottage has been part of Shilton life since the 1800's, situated in the very centre of this tranquil conservation village that sits in the valley of the Shil river. The cottage comprises a large lounge with a flagstone floor and beamed ceiling and contains a large inglenook fireplace. It's furnished with two comfortable sofas. There is a smart TV with soundbar, as well as games and books. There is free wireless internet.

Off the hallway is a downstairs clockroom and luxury limestone raindance shower room.

There is a second library lounge to the rear of the cottage that overlooks the garden. With its black out blinds it is perfect for movies day or night or makes a great young.

The kitchen contains all the gourmet chef should ever need, including an all important full size dishwasher.

The kitchen and dining area look out over the established gardens and patio area, to the adjacent horse paddock and on to the ford and duck pond beyond.

Upstairs the cottage has been furnished for relaxation, with the use of soft pale colours and crisp white linen. There is a master bedroom and another smaller bedroom and bathroom via a stone stairway from the main lounge. It contains a cd player and TV. The two further bedrooms have beautiful views over the garden and the village and share a luxury bathroom with a deep bath and underfloor heating for that added luxury.

The garden is large with plenty of areas for outdoor eating and enjoying the view.

Car parking for one car is available on the property, but there is also ample parking on the road.


The Cottage can sleep 8( four double bedrooms) plus 2 (sofa bed) we also have a cot and a high chair which we can provide free of charge.

Shilton is perfectly situated to explore all of the Cotwolds region as well as being within easy reach of the magnificent cities of Oxford, Bath and Cheltenham.
