Uncomfortable

I couldn't sleep for at least 1 hour. There was a door opening and closing all of the time and in addition, the aircon throws the air directly on the bed.

Not Bad

Basic and affordable accomodation in the city, close to Queen Street Mall and great other eateries, exploring is easy. Parking is a nightmare and will cost a fortune though, the Hilton Hotel owns the parking spaces which is why, better to catch public transport than have a car. All in all it was fine, facilities are cleaned daily and security measures were surprisingly good. I'd stay again.

Central location and Clean

One night stay in a private room. Easy check in/check out. Working elevator. Very noisy but it was a Friday night so not surprising. I was very happy that the noise cut offs (after 10 or 11pm) were upheld and eventually got to sleep. Would stay again.

bad experience so not a hostel id stay in again

room was full of long termers and it was an absolutely pig sty. clothes and pizza boxes all over the floor and undies hanging everywhere - it looked like cleaners didnt even clean the room. i felt really depressed and moved into a hotel the next day. it wasnt the hostels fault that i was put in a room full of gross backpackers but id never stay there again tbh

best hostel in Brisbane

I've been to about 15-20 different hostels and this one was by far the nicest. Building seems brand new with no stains, cracks, etc. All the facilities are clean and modern, bedrooms have super cold AC. Staff very polite. Best hostel in Brisbane by far.

Cheap and good enough

It's cheap and you get what you paid for. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the dorm wasn't very clean, but I never felt grossed out by anything. The staff is great, the bathrooms are cleaned at least 3 times a day, they collect the garbage in the room everyday and they do collect 'forgotten' items in the kitchen everyday too. Overall I would give 6 out of 10 and only because the bed wasn't very good (I always woke up with body aches). It could easily go to 7,5 if it weren't for the bed.

Convenient and descent place if tight on budget

As a backpacker hostel, the overall experience was good. Rooms are little smaller, but OK and generally clean. Although they mentioned shared bathroom; I hoped the toilets were attached (as seen in pictures) but were not. There was little-bit noise some blokes talking loudly in the lobby at 11 PM but could well be a random occurrance. Generally, not a bad place to stay if budget is tight. Felt safe and welcoming.

Pleasant Stay

I had a very pleasant stay at Base Embassy, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and quiet and the hotel is right around the corner from Queen St. Mall, bus and train stations.
