`The Hive` Luxury Mountain Log Home is a spectacular window-filled, spacious, log home offering an abundance of outdoor amenities! Our 3,000 sq. ft. modern log home has 5 bedrooms (sleeps 18) & 3 bathrooms. 300 yds away sits the 11 mile long Moose Pond, where you can hear the cry of the loons nightly, along with a barred owl or two. There is cable TV and Wi-Fi providing a first class Log home experience for multiple families. Our log home has been featured on the TV station WPXT on their `Buy Local` Show & has been displayed on The Maine Cedar Log Home website.

Our walk-in first level main entrance opens into a `mudroom` to store ski gear in our two large closets. The first Floor houses 2 bedrooms that sleep up to 10 guests, including 3 bunkbeds.T he downstairs living room is home to a 42’ flat screen TV, sectional couch, and numerous board games/puzzles. Nestled in the basement is a laundry room that guests can use.

On the main level sits, 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and 1 with a full bed. Also on the main level is our gourmet kitchen (fully stocked) with an island (seats 4), granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The dining room features a large table (seats 10) for family gatherings. You will love our great room`s 20+ ft cathedral pine ceiling, Australian cypress hard wood floors, & grand field stone fire place. The room is filled with natural light from 4 french sliding doors and an A frame window set. There is a 75 ft wrap-around partially-covered porch that provides great mountain views.

Our gorgeous wooden staircase brings you to the quaint loft where you can escape into a good book, surf the web at the office desk, or sip wine at your custom made log cocktail table. Our new leather couch also easily folds out into a nice sized full bed for extra sleeping space. The large master bedroom with a custom-made king log bed and master bath is to the rear of the loft.

This property is located trailside at Shawnee Peak Ski Resort on Mohawk trail (20 ft out the door) & 100 yds above the Sunnyside triple chair lift. Skiers get prime `ski out` access to Shawnee Peak. Hikers get prime access to Pleasant Mountain’s 10 mile network of trails and Shawnee Peaks 40+ ski trails. Boaters get easy access to Moose Pond’s 17 Miles of shoreline from multiple nearby boat launches. Our home is located on a slope-side cul de sac with about 15 other homes. The off-the-beaten-path location provides privacy and serenity while still providing direct access to a high class ski resort.

Convenience: You can do it all right from your front door. The `Ski Hive` is located trailside on Mohawk Ski Trail at Shawnee Peak Ski Resort. Ski In/Out, Snowboard, Snow Shoe, Winter Hike on Shawnee Peaks 40+ Ski Trails & 10+ miles of separately maintained hiking trails (Loon Echo Trust).

Close to All the Action: In the Naples/North Conway/Sebago Lakes Region, the Town of Bridgton alone sports many unique restaurants, 2 movie theaters (1 outdoors), 4 public town beaches, an 18-hole public golf course, multiple ice cream stands, numerous hiking trail systems (including Bald Pate Mountain, Pondicherry Park, and Pleasant Mountain/Shawnee Peak), almost a dozen ponds/lakes to fish & swim, and a host of outstanding antique/boutique/gift shops. In the abutting towns lies Fryeburg Academy, Bridgton Academy, The Fryeburg Fairgrounds, and the Saco River. A short drive away lies Naples, Sebago, and North Conway, NH. About Us:
Since my wife, Andrea, & I got married in 1993, we always had a goal of owning a log home. This became reality in 2011, purchasing a contemporary & elegant log home in Bridgton, ME...The `Ski Hive` Luxury Mountain Log Home Trailside at Shawnee Peak Ski Area. We fell in love with this area, so we decided to launch our own vacation rental home business. In 2015 we purchased a second rustic, real lincoln log luxury mountain log home in Brownfield, ME (borders Conway, NH). `The Hive` Log Home at Birch Ridge Estate is 15 miles from Shawnee Peak. Next, in the summer of 2017, we purchased `The Hive` Lake View At Stone Mnt Lodge. This property, also in Brownfield, is only 3 miles away from `The Hive` at Birch Ridge. This boasts a large amount of private land (20 Acres) & sits high above our 100 ft waterfront area with incredible lake & mountain views. In 2019 we added The Hive Newly Renovated Chic Farmhouse & Wedding Barn. This 7 bedroom farmhouse is located on abundance of land and is host to beautiful, country-themed weddings. Our most recent purchase is `The Hive` Log Home at White Mnts View. `The Hive` arsenal of Luxury Log, Lake & Farm Homes of Western Maine is like none other & near and dear to our hearts.
