Brian Head Lodge is beautiful and conveniently located near the slopes, with easy access via shuttle buses. The scenery and location are definitely the best parts of the stay. The rooms were mostly clean, but the amenities and service were disappointing. The arcade is very small, with several games out of order. The pool area appeared clean but felt inadequate, with limited seating and no comfortable area to relax. The hot tub was often full and hard to use. Dining was a major issue. There is only one on-site restaurant, and it was very poorly managed. Each visit resulted in an hour to an hour-and-a-half wait, which was extremely frustrating—especially with a small child. There are no nearby food options, the downstairs coffee shop was closed, and there are no gift shops on site. Staff were generally polite but not accommodating, and when we raised concerns about the long wait times, the response was not helpful or kind. The resort also seemed understaffed. While there are Tesla chargers available, they were frequently blocked by cars not charging. Overall, despite the great location, the lack of amenities, poor dining management, and disappointing service made this stay underwhelming.

The front desk staff (not all) seemed indifferent with no personality. It took a couple days to finally get our body wash/shampoo/conditioner full size replaced (it was all empty). When requesting it to be replaced at the front desk, we were told housekeeping was done for the day (around 1:30p). Yet, we later found a male (housekeeper) that gave us a few small bottles. The restaurant staff was awesome!

Our room was perfect. Bed was comfortable to back to after a day of exploring parks. Shower was nice to help tired muscles. Fireplace was not only aesthetically pleasing but kept us toasty warm.

This is our third time staying here but the front desk staff especially the late afternoon/night shift was not pleasant. Since we ran out of things to do we went to the hotel a little before check in. We understood that we weren’t able to check in till 4pm but waiting in the lobby where it was warm was better than waiting in the cold car. While waiting, we noticed that other guests who came after us were allowed to check in. After about three guests, I got up to see if we were able to also check in. The male receptionist first said the room was still being cleaned then I gave him the “questionable” stare. When he realized that we saw him check in other guests, he suddenly said he made a mistake and was able to check in. Then, later that evening, after having large dinner in their restaurant, I went to the front desk to buy some TUMS. He seemed irritated that I was there. The room is the same. It is older but clean and cozy. The restaurant was very busy that night but their customer service was excellent. It was a very long wait but because they were honest and accommodating, we didn’t mind. My husband is an Executive Chef on the Vegas chef so he understands how slam the kitchen can be and so he appreciated the transparency from the staff. He was also annoyed how the front desk receptionist treated us. I told him it’s probably because we got the room from Expedia. I hope not!! Lol. Do better Brian Head Lodge.
