What a fabulous way to cross “stay in a yurt” off my bucket list!
Every other year we pick up our grandsons in North Salt Lake and head out for adventures. This was a biggie for us and we loved it! We all fell in love with the yurt and the spectacular scenery there. Typically, I would not spend that much on two night’s lodging, but we decided this was also gonna be incorporated into our actual adventure not just the sleep aspect. We kept all the rest of our activities in the free category around the Bozeman area and had a fabulous time. Our soon to be 15-year-old grandson even asked to leave the Thursday night festival stating he would really like to go back to the yurt and hang out. The yurt is very well appointed, impeccably clean (which based upon how it is made is no easy task) and very well laid out. They have covered all the bases. Our grandsons loved sleeping up on the loft and looking out at the stars. The only thing we wished they would’ve provided was hot dog/marshmallow roasting sticks. Yes, we could’ve ventured into the trees and probably taken something from a tree, but the grasses were tall, and we did not want to disturb the wildlife. I should perhaps add that approximately the last half mile or so is up a steep gravel one lane road so I do not recommend a low profile car. We were in a RAV4 and did not have any difficulties at all. Once the snow starts falling, you might consider four-wheel-drive. I would like to share that communication with the host was very easy and prompt. Any questions we quickly answered.
