Very attentive staff from reception to bar/restaurant. Room was a good size and clean. Prices in the bar/restaurant were very reasonable and good quality food. Would definitely consider a return stay if the need arose.

The carpet was not attached between the bathroom and bedroom so it was trip hazard. The WiFi wasn’t very good. The tv was a smart tv but was unable to connect to the wifi making it fairly useless. However, the room itself was clean, neat and tidy. The curtains were black out which is rare for hotels and a lovely touch. The coffee and tea facilities were excellent. We were also able to check in early which, again, was hugely beneficial.

Good stay, however was woken up by vans revving their engines and turning their lights on to warm the vans up, wouldn’t have minded but it was at 3-4am in the morning other than that, lovely breakfast, amazing views and convenient

Parking was plentiful. Staff on reception very pleasant and helpful. Room itself was cleaned but there were issues within the roo , eg mould in bathroom around bath. There is a big issue with floorboards severely creaking in the bathrooms, not just in our room but those above and to the side, which disturbed sleep during night when anyone used them. We couldnot enjoy natural daylight as the alternative was to have the blind open and any person walking by could look directly into room. A voile/net would be beneficial for daytime use. The single bed mattresses have a roll off effect when sleeping and only alternative was to pish the singles together to then try to sleep more away from outside edge. Only one spoon for a twin room. Having to share cutlery could be avoided if stocked sufficiently.

These people are despicable I book a room while I was in Jamaica with the same hotel name, and these people refuse to return my money, even though I tried to reach out to them after I saw the error. The booking agent tried to reach out to them and. Their phone and try to tell me they can’t refer my money bunch of criminals.

Good free parking, friendly bar staff. Room and particularly bathroom are dark and dingy. We had a great view towards the river but could hardly see it because of unnecessary privacy film covering half of the window. Plumbing requires attention - broken toilet flush button, heating first didn’t come on, then became too hot despite of turning it down. Wardrobe sliding door kept coming off its tracks. TV remote was faulty. Walls very thin, could hear neighbours like they were in our room. Overall it’s ok but not the most pleasant stay.

Welcome to the Scottish Fawlty Towers. Bit harsh maybe Wifi intermitent, loud cars in the car park, no warning about saturday music nights, banging doors in rooms above reception shouty kids on the playing fields opposite, inside waterfall on the pool table. But all that aside, the hotel is brilliant, the staff are fantastic, the food is amazing and the locals are friendly and welcoming. I thoroughly recommend this hotel to everyone it is a must stay destination. Thankyou all at the Richmond you were brilliant Gavin Folwell

Floorboards all creak excessively in rooms and corridors. Many workmen staying and doors banging shut from 5 am onwards and walking in corridor clearly heard in the room. Charge for full breakfast on menu does not include porridge and this was charged extra at the same price as a full breakfast. When asked to see the manager a response was the manager was too busy to see us. The cost for porridge was eventually removed. Will not return!
