Weekend getaway

The property has a lot of history and the ambiance was great. The room could have been aired out a bit, was stuffy and had an awkward smell upon entering, but once we opened windows and turned on fans, the smell went away. The room was comfortable and good size for 2 people.

Because we used Expedia we were not offered a patio even if we paid for a better room with a patio. Also noticed that the pool was full of children who came to use the pool for the day and two cars left during the night. So we did not get to enjoy the pool. Restroom had mold, facet lifted when we would turn on, shower head needs to be replaced, blinds not installed properly, can peak through opening, toilet seat would lift up with the lid and towels were dirty. Have photos but it doesn’t allow to upload. The only thing great was that the bed was comfortable.

Although the overall stay was good I think they should supply coffee in the room since it has a coffee maker. The coffee maker needs to be cleaned there was calcium buildup. Add a storage rack in the bathroom for extra towels. Right now they pile the extra towels on the bed. Maybe add a couple of disposable plastic cups for water. Just keeping it honest. My wife and I travel and have stayed at many facilities that are within the same price range as the Black Forest Lodge and Cabins.

Great staff! Nice pool and areas to eat outside. A bit loud at night, from some of the other guests and I believe thin walls in between rooms. Other than that, great stay!

The room was a little outdated. The hallways were a little outdated with the carpet but the staff was friendly the pool was nice and refreshing. I like that it was outdoors under the big pine trees, but we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The room rate was appropriate for the room condition

We were there for two nights and one morning the office didnt open till around 10am when we were supposed to have continental breakfast from 8-10? Lots of people were upset and waiting around.

Room was clean and recently updated. It had a fireplace but no tools like a fire poker if you actually made a fire. Room was vey small. One tiny closet. No place to set two small suitcases other than the floor off to the side. Outlets near the bed or on the desk would have been a nice touch. The free breakfast was packaged cake slices/danish or bagel option. Bonus points for dog friendly and decent location. Overall it was ok. Perhaps a bit overpriced for what you get.

My grandma‘s house.

It was a great location and a very relaxing place to be. The check-in clerk Jacqui was amazing as well as the checkout clerk Heather. The decor is something you would step back into the 70s with. Under new management and renovating the place. I would definitely stay again, but would plan on not eating breakfast there, bringing a clock as well as Kleenex. The pool was nice and warm and the Jacuzzi was clean. It’s very dog friendly. they have coffee all day. They also have video games in the lobby to play.

Was a nice place but they had no TV had to sign up on your apps like netfix to be able to watch. Check out was so so no one shown up for front desk so no continental breakfast came back around 1030 am still no one so the maintenance man took the key and said he let them know. Call around 330 pm front desk finally answered they said they got the key and they did send me a receipt. Over all though good stay.

Mountain days of 88⁰ in a roomno air conditioning

Apparently newly painted and the Door was painted shut and needed maintenence to get us in. It was 88⁰ and no air conditioner in an upstairs room. Bathroom needs a shelf in the shower and one in the bathroom. Nowhere to put your stuff. Beware only stairs to the upstairs rooms. They advertise Free Breakfast 8 to 10. Showed up to the front at 8:10am and waited 15 mins for no one to show and no breakfast.

Very nice location but be aware that: No hand towels, bath mat or tissues. Only one wash cloth.Close to highway was very noisy. Only Roku TV, bring your passwords for streaming. Very high bed, hard for old folks to get into. Ants in the room. Breakfast was a couple of bagels. In fareness, we were in the older part that hadn't been upgraded yet.
