I absolutely loved my stay at Meliá Berlin. If you are prioritizing Museum Island and major attractions like the Brandenburg Gate this hotel is in a fantastic location. The train station nearby also makes it incredibly easy to get around the city or take a nice day trip. The hotel itself is stylish and has a feeling of luxury. When I return to Berlin, I would happily book this hotel again!

Location great, but hotel has some quirks

The location was very convenient and central to sights and public transport. The staff was courteous, and the bed was pretty comfortable. The hotel has some quirks that in isolation are not a big deal but in combination would make me think twice about staying here again. - Air conditioning in the room was not cool - There is only one socket by the bed to charge your phone and it was connected to the lights inside the room so if we wanted to charge our phone by the bed while sleeping, we could not turn off the lights because our phone would not charge. - The hair dryer was connected to the wall underneath the sink and unreachable. It may not be an issue for most people but if you're tall, it can be annoying to try to blow dry our hair because the hair dryer could not be raised above our heads. - The tub was very slippery when wet and is also pretty narrow. The shampoo and body wash dispensers were attached to the wall but hard to access if you are not skinny. - For some reason, mobile cellular signal was very poor in the hotel building. Not a big deal but not ideal if expecting a business call that isn't using data.

The front desk receptionist offered a special deal for $45 E per person/day for breakfast, snacks, and pre-dinner. I thought is was the best offer ever. The 8th floor pre-dinner area was less crowded than downstairs and the food and servers were great. The breakfast food and service downstairs was exceptional as well. I would recommend others to this hotel!

Hotel is one block away from the train station. Train from airport stops @ that station. We arrived early so they had us use the Level area. Level area is great. Have bathroom, free snacks, seating area & little balcony. You can also use it during your stay. It is a very nice addition. It is easy to walk everywhere. Will stay again.

Excellent hotel in the center of Berlin

The Malia Berlin is in a great location, centralized to the train station and anywhere you wish to walk in the city. Public transportation with trams buses, and the underground is also conveniently located. There are many restaurants in museums within a short, walking distance, a room out of view of the river, which offers nonstop entertainment. The breakfast is really nice. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and cared for.

It was mostly excellent. Two bits of feedback. There was no USB charger by the bedside. That is important for modern tech. And The two double beds instead of a queen bed wasn’t ideal, but it wasn’t a problem. But, again, overall fantastic time staying there. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Good sized room, but the furniture and bathroom are quite dated and the carpet is very tired. They’ve used a fair bit of poetic licence with the “city view” descriptor too because your only view is directly into the office block on the opposite side of the street. They’re also very cheap and frugal with their in-house coffee which is irritating for a place in this price range. Staff are efficient yet hardly welcoming. But it’s close to the station and in a good area. It wasn’t bad but nor would I stay again as they are many other better places in the price range.
