I booked the hotel ,including Breakfast, free wifi,, there is no Breakfast not in the room wifi connection, only in the lounge,,plus, when you the Check in you have to give some 100 Euro.. incase you may do some damage or some accidental things, terrible, Hotel picture look nice actually hotel its in the 3 rd floor and 4 th floor, there is a lounge 8 chairs there , no sofa no arm chairs no coffe table, for Entry in the building every time coming the building door close you have to press bell and wait someone will open the door for you, its only one receptionist there, its all foul the stay there,location is fine hart of the Berlin city centre,

Very old, outdated facility. I cannot say it was clean. As I stayed in new years eve it was so expensive and was not worth it at all. Staff were friendly though. I would not recommend at all.

The bathroom of the first room I was in was CAKED with toxic black mold. The night manager offered me a choice of other rooms, but in one the mold was worse. It was late so I stayed one night in the other, which was still moldly and had unpleasant stains on the carpets in the bedrooms.

Hole in the shower screen and the general condition of the room and building was poor, the reception staff at the desk unhelpful and unable to speak English even the description stated they could, could not fault that the room was kept clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

Make what you will of this review, however from my side it is completely honest. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures firstly, the hotel is old, run down and quite frankly depressing. I'm not fussy with hotels as long as they are clean and I have somewhere to put my head down in between work meetings. This hotel I wish I had avoided. Initial room had no hot water. Moved to a new room that had not been cleaned, had a messy bed, used sanitry products left in the room and a lovely floater in the toilet. The room had holes in the shower and plasterboard falling off the walls. Moved to another room that the receptionist came to check with me. Even worse than the last room. Hadn't been cleaned in god knows how long, stank of stale food. An hour later or messing around and I was moved back to my original room, hot water now working. I must add that my whole experience was awful, the receptionist (who identified himself as the manager and then refused to give me his name) was extremely argumentative, rude and didn't take any view the customer comes first. He took every opportunity to disagree and argue with me and tell me that 'it is what it is' and my experience with them was completely acceptable. Save yourself some money, but a bottle of whiskey to warm yourself and sleep on the street, it will be more comfortable I promise.

Linen was clean, location ok. What was wrong with Hotel Comet. More than half the lights didn’t work. Staff were rude when I arrived. No air conditioning or even a fan in the room. When I asked for one they were very hesitant to give one to me. Told me there was no funds on my credit card, wanted cash. Checked card as soon as I reached my room, plenty of credit available. States free breakfast a big no on that. Booked for 4 nights stayed for 1.

Excellent location in the heart of Berlin. However the inside of the hotel needs modenising and redecorating , but is clean with helpful and polite staff. I would consider staying there again if visiting the wonderful city of Berlin again.
