Travelling for decades and that was the worst check in I've ever had. I could tell the staff were trying their best but most rooms weren't ready. Extremely long check in times. Didn't even get our original room booking but I'm with my nearly 80 year old mum. No one replied to my requests on expedia for an accessible bathroom. Getting a room an hour after check in is ridiculous. Had i not kicked up a fuss WHICH I NEVER DO we wouldve had to wait even longer. Over promising and under delivering is abysmal. We got there early 1pm was told the room wasn't ready which is perfectly fine but then got told 3pm. So we waited patiently. 3pm came. Waited in line 305pm got told a few more minutes were needed to finish the room. Went to the back of the line. 320pm got told the room still wasn't ready. Got told could be 20 minutes and to wait in line. This point the line snaked around the lobby almost out of the door waited 20 minutes to the side of the counter as i refused to line up again. Got told it'll be another 20 minute's. I'm autistic. I hate conflict. Ive worked at a hotel and in customer service. I never lose my cool. But I'd been up since 4am and it was almost 4pm and had my elderly mother to consider. Got a room that didn't seem the same at all but just wanted to get mum and myself settled. I'm sure the guys at reception did what they could with the resources they had but someone somewhere completely screwed up and made an absolute mess leaving a lot of upset and angry patrons.
