Location and Amenities 2nd to Non at Schuss

Schuss/Shanty Creek has been our go to for ski weekend ever since the kids were just starting out. This is the first time we have truly had ski in ski out and it was fantastic. the location on Queen's Corner with the firepit and a view of the slopes and run was great. The teens made a snow ramp to work on their tricks on the hill from the property down to the edge of the ski run. The adults enjoyed drinks around the firepit when outside and the large table inside to play games. Plenty of room to spread out with the 3 television viewing areas. Sleeping areas were good for our crew of 3 familes, 13 total. The kitchen seems to have nearly everything we needed to prepare all of our meals which is one of the benefits of staying slopeside. Would stay here again for sure.

Annual ski trip success

A perfect location for fun in the snow! The house was welcoming and spacious. The outdoor fire pit was an added bonus for roasting marshmallows after night skiing. Communication was great with host! Would recommend!!!

Great family ski weekend

We had three families stay for a ski weekend. Great ski-in/ski-out location slope side. Worked perfect for multiple families getting together with 3 family room spaces, 3 bedrooms for adults and a 2 bunk rooms for kids. Enjoyed the fireplace and all the space to spread out.

We had an amazing time! The cabin is tucked away nicely with plenty of space for everyone to spend time doing things together. Beautiful views! Very clean and comfortable. If you are considering a stay here, you wont be disappointed!

Boating trip with close friends.

A group of close friends and significant others planned a boating trip for Torch Lake and came across this house which upon arrival were beyond pleased with our decision on renting this property. This place not only has great views and location but it is HUGE! If you are planning a trip with large group this is perfect with plenty of room to not feel crammed having plenty of living space inside and plenty of parking if driving separate or even towing a boat or 2 which the wrap around driveway made an ease pulling in and out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The house was extremely clean and was very well appropriated! Everything we needed was there! The second fridge was super helpful for our big group! The hosts were friendly and responsive and the views from the porch were beautiful! close to Bellaire - which is a super cute town. Would definitely stay here again.

4th of July Weekend

With a group of friends (12 people!) we rented this property. It immediately felt like home. It had all the needed comforts, Tracey left us so many good treats in the house and really nothing was missing. It was an amazing experience and we even got to do s'more's on the fire! The location is convenient for who, like us, wants to explore the northern part of Michigan and its natural wonders and not only! Thank you, we'll come back ASAP!

Hard to summarize our top notch experience with the home owner. She went above and beyond to not only make our experience great- but to make it exceptional! To start out, the house is fantastic for a group. There is a lot of space. Close to the mountain.

This is our second year renting this property for a group ski weekend. We love the space and set up of the house (including the nice upgrades to the bathrooms and carpet!) and the location on Queens Corner is perfect. Looking forward to next year!

This house is perfect for our group of 12! The kids loved the ski in/out and the adults loved being able to enjoy the firepit while watching the kids ski. The house is very clean and well cared for which made it the perfect place for our group of 3 families!

Great views, hard to navigate

Home is in a great location with beautiful views, but it is a little difficult to get on and off the ski trail. Home is large, but floor plan was clumsy to navigate and no place to store ski gear. Note some renovation in process. Difficult to manage inside heat. Thoughtful welcome basket and hosts were great communicators.

Wonderful location with ski in/out. Loved the outside fire pit, all the strings of light. Appreciated all the amenities. Also, the dog friendly environment was great!
