Great place to stay. Beds really comfortable and really fluffy towels The staff were very friendly and really helpful We ate at the Purdy Inn too and was impressed by the quality Breakfast was smashing with plenty of choices Would definitely stay there again

When i booked i didn't realise how close it was to the A1, so was a bit worried about traffic noise when i found out, as it turned out i didn't need to, the rooms were located to the back of the property and you couldn't hear anything. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was spot on.

Basic, but met all of our needs. The room was comfortable and adequate. We LOVED the awesome breakfast provided. Great, quick service and yummy food with lots of options. This isn't a fancy place, but it was clean, easy to park and locate, and had nice service. Would stay again.

Stayed for one night , but was great, had a great view from room ,quiet even though next to A1 but you wouldn't know it. Had an evening meal at the restaurant, and was wonderful. Great nights sleep too,couldnt ask for much more .

This was an excellent place to stay for exploring Northumberland. It is right of the A1 with a petrol station nearby and several Tesla chargers on the site also! Despite being so close to the road the rooms are very quiet. The staff are very friendly and cheery and everything seems to run smoothly. Super breakfasts included. Next door is a great cafe with really good food and drinks at excellent prices- serving hot food (from fish and chips to lasagnes or roast, or giant Yorkshire puddings with various fillings!) highly recommended. Easy drives of less than 30mins to Lindesfarne or Seahouses. Perfect!

Excellent base for touring Northumberland, exceptionally clean, staff all go above and beyond to help, nothing is too much trouble. Has everything..the hotel, with restaurant & bar, 24hr cafe/coffee shop, garage, free parking. Bamburgh, seahouses, craster, warkworth and holy island all within 20-30mins drive!!Excellent all round. Thankyou!

Had an excellent 4 night stay here. Many national trust and heritage sites were a short drive away. Breakfast was lovely and very well organised every morning. Full English breakfast was delicious and served very quickly. We had a meal at the restaurant one evening and the burgers were really tasty too. The staff are all friendly and service is efficient. Considering the place is next to the A1 it wasn't that busy on the road and we couldn't hear the road noise from our room even with the window open which was great. Lovely view over the countryside at the back too. Beds were really comfy and the room was pleasant with lots of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Only things to note was the shower water pressure was quite low and the door was a bit tricky to lock but otherwise it was a brilliant place to stay and would highly recommend- I would definitely stay again!

It was OK, beds comfortable and view from window good - saw a hare! Convenient as located on A1 so easy to find and get to. The breakfast was nice but they didn’t replenish the food so people who were earlier got more of a choice/ selection than those that were later. There should be more consistency. The cooked breakfast was really nice. Smell of smoke in corridor before we got to room, not nice when your a non smoker.

Easy access

Hotel ideally placed on the A1 for access to the many lovely places around. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast Would definitely return if travelling in this area again
