We had a fantastic one-night stay at the Maldron Hotel, a clean modern hotel in the heart of Belfast close to major rail & bus connections. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Sinead at reception who went above & beyond for us by firstly squeezing our luggage into the already full left luggage room so we could quickly go out & about exploring. she next extended our check-out time the next day to coincide with our train departure & she even recommended a few places to visit that are not as well known as the main attractions of Belfast. The bar & restaurant at the Maldron have a good selection to choose from and not that expensive for a city centre hotel. We can highly recommend the cocktail tree!

Overall we really enjoyed this hotel, the location, facilities and staff were all good. Unfortunately the electronic key card system proved quite unreliable as it broke down frequently and we were unable to access the lifts and our room on several occasions. We noticed other guests experiencing similar problems. Staff tried their best to help however we got the distinct impression that this was a frequent occurrence and they were as frustrated as us. The issue needs to be overhauled sooner rather than later but this problem aside we would use the hotel again.

Room was a bit tired with scuff marks on the walls. The wall between our room and the next (behind bed) would physically shudder everytime their main door closed. As they were up from 0530-0600 this disturbed a good nights sleep. On the positive having a window that you could open helped with getting some crisp air. couldnt manage to get the room cool enough to sleep without that havinf tried to turn thr heating down. Great courteous staff.

I stayed on 1st floor for 3 days last week, great shower, comfortable pillows and bed made perfectly. I then stayed on 11th floor last night, no water pressure in shower, compared to 1st floor. Pillows weren't the same standard and bed wasn't made as good. Also the room did smell a little bit like sour water.
