A smaller hotel in a nice location near to the seafront. Metro station and bus stop are nearby for good transport links. Rooms are smaller and functional, but clean and maintained. We had a room with a balcony which was very nice and gave more space. Hotel staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was good with some nice local touches... including a glass of Cava!

We stayed in Hotel del Mar for New Years and chose a room with terrace. The room is simple, clean and has all basic necessities, bed was comfortable. Staff is very helpful with anything you need (ice bucket for Cava, glasses, call a taxi, etc). The bathroom was large, nice shower with hot water, and several toiletry kits are provided. Our room had a small fridge that we loved to use for orange juice, cheese and wine, it chilled very fast. The terrace has one lounger and a table with two chairs. Ours looked over to the marina and the beach. We saw the New Years fireworks show from the terrace!! Location is perfect, close to many restaurants, metro station close, bus stop right in front. Walked to El Born, Ciutadella, Santa Maria del Mar, Catedral, Barceloneta. I would stay here again

You’ll love it here.

Great boutique hotel near the port and walking to many amazing stores and restaurants. I was here in November, which may be off season, but the rates were very reasonable for all that I got. The breakfast was also very, very good.

Hello we stayed for 3 days in the property wish that the hotel would be honest about the accommodations upfron. The hotel advertising that it has central air is false they run the air system on a loop and it is more like a fan vs AC. We had someone from the front desk come and check on the room and there was nothing to be done. Also someone came into my room while I was alone not a very pleasant experience with the excuse that they wanted to check if the international channels where working in the room. A phone call could have been an easy solution for that.

Convenient location especially to the marina area which is great to walk along to go into different areas. Most of the staff are nice and will assist/advise if asked. Didn’t give a 5 star review as we had requested two twin beds and were given a room with queen bed. Made it work for the 2-night stay since we really didn’t spend much time in the room. Having a terrace to sit out on is really what made the stay at this hotel nice to ‘wine’ down in the late evenings since the weather was excellent.

Overall the hotel was fine. However the room was not very practical. The room was very small and lacked basic amenities like a kettle and coffee machine. the bathroom was very poorly designed. The shower was separated by a panel of glass from the sink. The panel did not go from one wall to the other, it only went half way which meant that the water went everywhere when you showered. There was no storage for your toiletries above or below the sink. More importantly, the water had a very strong odour of chlorine.

This was in an ideal location for me. It is adjacent to the port, and there are literally dozens of small restaurants within easy walking distance. My only real complaint was that the mattress was hard as a rock, making sleeping a challenge. Breakfast buffet is excellent. All in all, this worked out well for my two week stay for work purposes. Contrary to what was suggested online, there appears to be no in-house laundry for customer use, but you can send laundry out if needed. It is a small hotel. Nothing fancy, but in a great location. Three star is an appropriate rating.

Property was clean and well positioned but room was very small and the only window looked straight out at glass lift shaft, anyone going up,down in the lift could look straight in the room, room was dark and gloomey! In Short VERY expensive for facilitys provided. Would not stay again.
