Bright and Spacious Mountain Home Near Skiing

Welcome to Highland House!

This bright and spacious mountain home is less than one mile from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, boasting winter favorites like skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and snow tubing. The resort transitions to mountain biking trails, chair lift rides, festivals, concert series, and more in the summer! The town of Banner Elk is 10 minutes away, providing access to shopping and local restaurants. A few other High Country attractions within 15 minutes include Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, Banner Elk Winery, and Sugar Mountain Public Golf Course.

Highland House, with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge, is the perfect setting for your high-country getaway. The open floor plan is comfortable and inviting, with vaulted ceilings, a stacked stone wood-burning fireplace, and a wall of windows to take in the panoramic scenery. The living area has a large HDTV, cozy seating, and room for 8 at the dining table and bar. The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The Master Bedroom is on this level and boasts a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and jetted tub.

On the lower level are three rooms - a Queen room and two King rooms. These rooms share a bathroom with a combo tub and shower. A key feature of this home is the main floor porch with outdoor seating, dining, a hot tub, and a gas grill. There is also WiFi, YouTube TV, central heating and cooling, and a washer and dryer. We highly recommend a 4-wheel drive or AWD for winter travelers.
