Buyer beware. The VRBO listing makes it seem you are booking a private home with 4 rooms and dock access to the lake. It's a gorgeous location, yes, BUT... what they don't tell you is they treat this place like a hotel. Each room can be reserved independently and has it's own lock and key. They are not connected within one home. When we arrived, I could not get a hold of the manager through VRBO and check-in was a bit confusing, especially with the language barrier. Furthermore, when we did gain access, there was another couple staying there that had reserved one of the 4 rooms. What?? Ultimately, we stayed because we didn't have another option last minute. Given the setup, I highly recommend staying away from this property. We paid for the entire "home" and only had 3/4 of the rooms and it wasn't private as we had desired. Communication wasn't great and the host even tried to push back by telling me they never "accepted my reservation". It was an "immediate reservation "through VRBO and they had no issue taking my money two months prior when I booked it. After the trip, I tried to discuss a partial refund with VRBO and with some assistance they contacted the host who was supposed to call me. Never did. So now I feel compelled to let VRBO and prospective travelers know that this is not a safe rental and if you choose to book it, I highly recommend contacting them as frequently as possible to ensure the reservation is going to be met.
