We enjoyed our time at Aliya. The pool was lovely. Only downside is that the staff were nice, but not as welcoming as the other resorts we stayed at in Sri Lanka

Disappointed in hotel facilities, limited space to relax outside of the room when it’s raining, also had rodent droppings in our room and kept awake by noise of either rodent or lizard behind our bed in one of the wooden chalets. The rooms were also damp inside. Place seems to designed for the short stay big tour groups. Spa was a highlight authentic Ayurvedic spa. Would not stay for more than 1 or 2 nights if visiting Sigiriya

Waiting on their staff at check in and check out was far too long. They need to revise their system. Too many people doing nothing but waiting for the ONE person who could do it. The place itself is incredibly beautiful -- really. Great pool and great view.

This hotel lived up to the great ratings it has received...and then some. Every employee we encountered was warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, the rooms lovely. Best was all the elephant themed art work throughout the property. It was like walking in a modern art museum!

The hotel is eco friendly with a great view of Sigiya mountain. Pool is to die for with enough chairs for the size of the hotel. Lots of grounds to walk in seeing the many monkeys and wildlife! Staff were friendly but could not converse well in English. The service was extremely slow around the pool and in the dining area. Quality of food was poor compared to other hotels we have stayed in. In fact we visited the Heritage hotel for dinner one night which was far superior to what we had at this hotel. It’s a pity as the hotel itself is lovely.

Luxurious but yet affordable resort

Amazing resort. Wonderfully laid out, with large walking tracks, huge green area nestled with unusual flora and fauna. Rooms are in spread out villas. Attentive staff. Great breakfast. It really felt like one is living inside a manicured forest!

Comfortable hotel

A comfortable hotel with a clear view of Sigiriya rock. Great service, good a la carte food. Lighting in the room is a little dim. Accessing the soap and shampoo dispensers is dufficult. Therefore can't give a 5 star eating to this hotel.

Loved everything about this property, its location looking at Pidurangala and Sigiriya Rock was stunning. Plenty of food options. Staff were super helpful and couldn’t do enough to please, constantly checking that everything was okay. They would arrange Tuktuk, private drivers and even check train travel for us. Would definitely stay here again

When you first walk up the steps to reception, the view just blows you away. Wonderful outlook onto Sigirya Rock with the infinity pool in the foreground. Our chalet room was large, cool and comfortable. The grounds were lovely, as was the pool and the spa. The food was mainly buffet and excellent. The staff were awesome. Very thrilled with our stay.

Wonderful service and great views!

We stayed here with my family for 3 nights and the service was wonderful! Rooms were spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable. Also not many bugs and critters considering where its located. The food both choices were great and the buffet has plenty of choices to please everyone. Highly recommend it and the location is also perfect.

Exquisite property; beautiful lobby with incredible views; the grounds are elegantly maintained per the natural environment. Rooms are large & comfy with great bathrooms. The oversized pool with views of surrounding area is magnificent; at night there are twinkling lights in pool floor which makes for magical swimming. We were there on full moon which was incredibly romantic. Food in restaurant is top notch. Look forward to returning for a longer stay! Thank you
