Stayed at soho hotel for two nights was very excited to be in Auckland I was greeted kindly and I returned the same kindness back. There was some confusion with my details of checking in which was a slight change in the name nothing really changed just missing a hyphen the receptionist showed a rude appearance and brushed confusion and gave us a key and told us to take the elevator and our rooms on the second floor. Seeing our room I was impressed with the tidiness and cleanliness. Two single beds are twin beds. I went to the bathroom a hour in to checking in and realised the door wasn’t closing or not knowing how to keep the door closed. I rang the desk for help and in return the lady said she will get maintenance to resolve the situation we never heard a knock. One of my family members went down to collect more things from the car and went to the desk to see if the door could be resolved she was given a door stopper. 1 I was not impressed with a door stopper for the price we pay to stay. 2 the service from the reception desk that day was rude. 3 I approached the reception desk the desk morning with a gentleman on shift and he was very welcoming very helpful when I asked him about the hotel restaurant times.
For me I thought service could have been better towards the customer needs.
