This was a great place to stay in Apollo Bay. Reasonably priced. Easy walk to restaurants and beach. Good communication to manage self check in and out.

Nice functional motel in a good position to walk to beach and restaurants. Check in and out was via envelope and key drop so didn’t interact with anyone which felt a bit impersonal. The reception was closed for both days we were there and a Christmas tree was still visible!

Good location for town. Room was a little tired and some outside areas needed some attention eg broken tiles in passage way. But for us biggest issue was no contact at all with any members of staff. Key picked up from box outside reception as per emailed instructions and returned to another box on departure. Made the whole experience a bit impersonal.

Parking v tight. Had to park in the street. Re keys to pick up on arrival- not sure having my name written on an envelope for all to view is a safe and discreet method. The Sandpiper is just the right distance from the shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach to mean we could park the car on Monday - safely off the street - and not drive it again until Friday!
