Larkspur has seen better days. It is in need of a major rehab. It is currently a one-star property with a three-star price. The staff was great. My first room had broken floor tiles in the bathroom, major stains on carpet, missing bedding. Second room, after a switch, was better, serviceable. The breakfast was minimal at best. I had booked this place for graduation, but after staying, I cancelled and booked elsewhere. Sorry Larkspur.

I was given keys to room 420, when I reached the room there were dirty linens on the ground in front of the door, & the door was propped open. I did not even bother opening the door all the way. I just went back to the desk. Upon arriving at my second room assigned 436, again the door was propped open by a dirty washcloth although the room did appear to be clean. I called the desk and the person had no explanation as to why this was happening nor did they offer any compensation other than another room. I agreed to just stay in this room as I really just wanted to get in shower and sleep as I was staying local to my work d/t weather. I have stayed here multiple times over the past few years & will never return.

The hotel was old and the carpet in the hallway was obviously stained. My tv didn’t work but the maintenance guy was very nice and fixed it. I noticed the next morning that my bathroom hadn’t been completely cleaned. I left the door open because it was just me and really only had to wash my face before sleeping. I got in later in the evening. In the morning I went to shower and found a used towel hanging behind the door and there was a used soap bar in the shower and several hairs left behind. I looked past the carpet and tv issue but the bathroom was my biggest issue. I didn’t complain because the front desk girl was very helpful and polite. If my family had come with me I would have complained.

There was no breakfast food available or anywhere to sit in the poor excuse for a dining area. After about 25 minutes someone brought out some disgusting scrambled eggs which we passed on. When we arrived, people were shouting in the entryway and in the parking lot which was in terrible condition with huge potholes.
