If being energetic is not how you want to start the day head to the river for a spot of leisurely fishing, the Anglesea Golf Course to get rid of your frustration on the golf balls or just jump in the car and take in the views along the Great Ocean Road.

Pleasant 2-night stay
The 2-storey apartment is one of six in a complex on the Great Ocean Road but it's not immediately obvious and entry is actually off Tonge Street just around the bend at the end of the shops as you leave Anglesea. It's well situated with a range of shops, cafes, restaurants etc very close by including Love House at the Surf Club and Rose Chinese where we enjoyed good meals.
Off-street parking leads to the ground floor which houses 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and laundry. Sliding doors off the bedrooms lead to a very private lawn area and outdoor seating. Upstairs is the main bedroom with a very large bathroom, a well-stocked kitchen and a living area with enormous TV leading out to a deck with dining tables and a bbq. There are no coastal or river views from this balcony (the trees have grown since the photos were taken).
The nearby road is very quiet so both of us slept well but, from about 6am onwards, the traffic starts to build. We enjoyed our visit and would stay here again if we return to Anglesea. There is a very pleasant walk nearby along the river.
Note: linen is not provided and when we realised this, we rang to be advised that we could not request it more than 48 hours before arrival. When we tried to contact the agents again later, they were unavailable. After further calls and two emails, we eventually secured the bed linen, towels etc and collected these when we collected the apartment key at the Anglesea office.
