The room was nice and clean. The size of the room was generous, not like a city hotel. The Spa suite was recently renovated. The Nespresso machine was great! A little road noise outside, but in the evenings it was quiet. There is a lovely park/ river across the road. Lovely spot.

Booked Non Smoking room with balcony. Stupid thing here is that hotel policy allows smoking on balcony. So our room is actually not non smoking as our neighbours chained smoked and thus the smoke drifts into your room and cannot enjoy the balcony you paid extra for. Complained to management but all they did was move them to the next room down. Smoke still drifts and was unpleasant and spoilt our stay. Simple resolution is have smokers stay with balcony’s facing Dean st and non smokers the other. Your welcome.

Half closed hotel - still full price!

Tired hotel overdue for a refurb. We booked this hotel because it had a restaurant and bar, unfortunately they were closed because they had given the staff a long Xmas holiday. Had we known they were only offering a much reduced service we would have booked elsewhere. They did not have the courtesy to inform us of this beforehand.

I've stayed at Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn several times and have always been impressed with the cleanliness and layout of the rooms. I nice and warm (in Dec/Jan) pool area near the reception area and spacious rooms.
