This place is conveniently located on the lakefront. There are many restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. Lots goes on directly in front of the hotel. There was even a concert one night. You really feel as though you are immersed in the culture when you stay here. The hotel itself is clean, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing! The staff were helpful and friendly. I very much enjoyed my stay here.

Nice room in a good location - very near train station and a tram stop almost right across street. 24 hour desk staff is nice. A/C only comes on if the temps are above like 74-75 degrees so a little warm for American travelers - but we were able to open the windows, so it worked. I thought the sheets were very scratchy. Breakfast was OK, but more cereals, yogurts and breads. Would stay there again if you just needed a place to rest and shower.

My check in time was supposed to be 2:00pm. I got to the hotel around 12:30 pm --the staff was so nice that she allowed me to check in early (since my room was already ready). It is a big deal to me to check in right away because I was so tired with my heavy luggage and walked from train station to the hotel--thank you so much!!!

The woman who greeted me at the reception desk was fantastic - efficient, well-groomed, articulate and she had a sense of humor. She seemed to be genuinely pleased that I would be a guest at the property. The hotel is in a pretty dense neighborhood, so I wasn’t expecting any sort of view - and I faced a blank wall across a narrow alley. The room, bath and public areas were spotlessly clean. The location is incredibly convenient - five minutes on foot from the main station. Though not a scenic neighborhood, I felt safe and all the sights of inner Zurich are within easy walking distance. The main station is also a hub for public transit that can take you virtually anywhere in Switzerland (including inner Zurich), so this hotel is a great place to consider if you’re using the country fabulous transit system. The breakfast buffet was pretty standard - breakfast breads, ham, salami, cheese, canned fruit cocktail and some fresh apples, cold chocolate rice cereal, juice and hot beverages - no eggs (not even cold, boiled ones). If you’re looking for a spectacular Swiss hotel experience, this is not the place for you. But… if you want an incredibly convenient, safe, friendly and relaxed overnight spot, this IS for you. I would definitely return.

This was very close to the train station and easy to find. We appreciated that we were able to check in early even though we knew it might not be possible. We did not see that the breakfast was an extra cost on the web site or on Expedia. We were willing to pay for it and that was easy to do but would have been nice to know.

Rated 4 stars, but seemed more like three. Spacious comfortable rooms, but tiny, tiny bathroom. So few guests it seemed almost deserted. Very mediocre breakfast for 18fr./$24. Skip it!. About a 12 min. walk to the fountain; 30-35 to the station. Most will need a taxi. Nothing of interest around the hotel. Numerous other properties much closer to station. Try one of those instead. An overly generous 7/10.

This hotel is in a university neighborhood that's about a 5-minute walk from the main train station and about a 10 minute walk from the Old Town. The hotel itself is not fancy, and the rooms are small. But our rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, the rate was affordable, and the location was very convenient..
