I had a wonderful stay at Oceana Portvillage for a night on Zamami Island. This place is simply out of a dream and I can not wait to return. Tsukasa, hotel management, was so helpful when I had to leave earlier than expected. A typhoon is coming to Okinawa and all ferries were set to be cancelled. Tsukasa was so helpful on organizing a way to get home safely. The hotel was close to Furuzumami Beach which was perfect for a sunrise hike. The hotel breakfast was so delicious. I can’t wait to return to Zamami Island and stay at Oceana Portvillage. Thank you Tsukasa and friendly staff for a great stay.

Really enjoyed my stay at Oceana, which is a 5-6 min walk from the Zamami port. It’s a very well run and operated hotel, the owner/manager takes an active role in ensuring everything runs smoothly, including driving the shuttle to the beaches (Furizamami and Ama), which is much appreciated. There is also free water and coffee/tea. Breakfast is an additional cost, which I did not try but looked good. The rooms are spacious and I had one that had a balcony overlooking the water, which was nice. Also, they accommodated an early check-in, which was very welcoming after the ferry ride in. The place just felt very hospitable, staff were helpful and friendly. Would come back in the future for sure.

The receptionist is committed to taking care of the guest. He run the hotel by himself it seems, from driving the guest to the beaches, running outbto guest with a dry towel after a storm, and conversing with the guest to the best if his abilities. Very kind and generous! The hotel is charming just as the little island itself.

Pretty basic facility with basic amenities. They provide small bath and beach towels. The property is maintained very clean. The staff are attentive, a little too attentive in fact and very helpful. We forgot our car seat and they sent it in the next ferry. Very grateful for that.

The staff were so kind and hospitable. The room was quiet, comfortable and had a great balcony with a view of the port/bay. Zamami Island is one of the most beautiful sites I’ve ever seen, and this hotel was the perfect place to stay.

Old building, no breakfast available on the day. Nothing to eat around as restaurants closed. Very nice staff and clean room. Transport to the beach available. Just very dated building. We checked out early. Definitely not value for money.

The hotel is a little dated, but the room was very clean, the ocean view was lovely, and the staff is so helpful and friendly. We were very comfortable with our stay and happy to experience Zamami Island and all it had to offer. The hotel manager was very kind, hospitable, and helpful with all of our questions. The hotel was easy to find and within walking distance from the port in Zamami. When we arrived, we were able to check in to our room and our host was really helpful in assisting us with getting snorkel equipment. Since we cannot speak Japanese, the host used the translation app and it made communicating with him easy. We liked the place as it was clean and comfortable, they also provided beach towels and has an area where you can rinse off and hang snorkels, wetsuits and life jackets. We had a really pleasant stay there.

Helpful staff, clean hotel, has everything you need including washers and dryers. Walkable from the ferry in under 5 minutes and walkable to Furuzamami beach in 10-15 mins. Breakfast could be better, and for dinner most restaurants around need booking, but local supermarket bento is also a good option.

Zamami Island does not have a large selection of lodgings and Oceana Portvillage is perhaps the best. Very clean facility with fine rooms. The staff went out of their way to offer us service, but we were there off peak and there were few other guests. Zamami Village is small so there is no such thing as a bad location. Beach, port and restaurants were close. Breakfast was absolutely fine. The shower was a bit clunky and hard to operate. That is my only complaint.
