Great holiday. Loved it. 03.08.19.
We stayed in Athinais apartment for 10 nights. We were collected by taxi from the airport which was organised by the apartment team which costs €25 each way. On arrival there was a little mix up with the rooms which was swiftly sorted out and within 15 mins we were in the correct room. The apartment was really nice however it was lacking in the finishing touches. A couple of lightbulbs weren’t working and there wasn’t any toilet roll or toiletries. The apartment was pretty clean and tidy however the fridge needed a bit of a wipe. All in all we were very happy with the apartment as it was still really nice and comfortable. The air conditioning was a godsend and cooled the room really quickly which was lovely. Great views from the balcony too.
There was a really nice couple who ran the place who got us anything we needed and told us about places to go and see. They were not there all the time though so don’t expect to be waited on all the time. That also means access to the poolside bar is very limited so get some beers in from the shops and bring them back to the apartments. There are signs that say you can’t bring anything round the pool that you didn’t buy from the bar but if there’s no one there then what can you do!
Cleaners came every other day which was perfect. Remember these are apartments not a hotel so you will have your own space which suited us perfectly.
P.S. A couple checked into the ground floor apartment and hated it. Be aware.
