Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

Lovely lodge, comfy rooms, not new but well kept up and clean. Housekeeping was iffy. Jackalope restaurant had great service & terrific buffet breakfast but dinners were a disappointment. Ordered a salad and could tell it came out of a bag, nothing fresh chopped at all, chicken breast clearly a reheat of probably precooked frozen. Proximity to Yosemite the reason we stayed and would do so again.

The room was lovely with a patio complete with Adirondack Chairs. The area lost power at about 6 pm one night and didn’t come back on until about 10 am the next morning but you’d never know. The generator powered everything beautifully. Perfect location about 2 miles outside the south entrance to the park. The restaurant food was great and Starbucks coffee offered free refills!

It was AMAZING, lots of activities for kids, and the views are beautiful, lots of private spots to go outside and relax. Only downfall was we were sent to the wrong area for archery and by the time we came back to the main area it was over.

Overall our stay was fantastic. The grounds were beautiful. The pools were well maintained and the rooms were very nice. We only had three issues and they were more inconveniences than anything. On our last night we had to park on the complete opposite side of the property and there were only a few spots left. They probably need to add parking for busier weekends..I have no idea where people went once that lot was filled. That same evening we (a long with about a dozen others) were rushed out of their gift shop because they were closing. I understand having a closing time but if people want to spend money there wouldn't it make sense to allow them to? -- especially when it was an extremely busy evening with a wedding going on and the restaurants being packed. We also would've loved to try Jackalopes restaurant as it is labeled as "casual"...but it is incredibly expensive. We drove into Oakhurst each night for dinner. Again, these are inconveniences/annoyances. I would absolutely stay at Tenaya again given the opportunity.

I traveled to Tenaya with my family of six including two smaller kids. We loved it, it was a perfect mix of nature and the outdoors and the comforts of a hotel. The rooms are nice, comfortable beds my only complaint is the barn door to the bathroom makes a lot of noise to close, so if your an early riser and the rest are not it’s not ideal. Our kids enjoyed the S’mores bar in the evenings and the archery. We enjoyed the guitarist in the lobby in the evenings, very nice touch! The restaurant on site was good but a little pricey but the convenience and selection are nice. Overall I would definitely stay here again & recommend this hotel.

The Tenaya Lodge is a great place to stay between all the amenities and offerings at the lodge, being pet friendly and also being located so close to the South Gate to the park.

We did the 360 Yosemite tour on Mother’s Day and our driver Bob C was so knowledgeable and friendly . Hotel staff were so kind and helpful as well . We will def return again this year .
