Close to family

My room was an efficiencie style room, very nice. They are in the process of up grading the rooms. It has been in business long enough that it is needed. Converting most rooms to Non Smoking. Good stop over facility. Some fast food close but not much else. Close to Danville, VA where there are many shops and Resurants.

Easy pit stop

The woman at the front desk was very polite and helpful, found our reservation and we were in our room in almost no time. The room was a bit dated but very clean and convenient location, right off the highway.

OK, not great.

We checked in at around 9-930 on Friday night. The front door was already locked. The manager on duty that night was very pleasant. And that was about all that was good. The room was ok. The beds were not the most comfortable. The bathroom was definitely outdated and the faucet on the sink needed work and other parts of the room definitely needed some TLC: lamp shades cracked, tv stand broken, dresser drawers broken, cracked sink, rusted toilet paper holder, etc.. We left too early on Saturday am to take advantage of the advertised "breakfast buffet" and when we returned that night, it appeared the only thing cleaned in the room was the covers straightened. On Sunday, we were ready to eat breakfast at 8:30 - prior to our final departure. The front door was locked, no one answered the bell and there was no breakfast of any kind set up. The hotel was ok, it served its purpose as a place to stay while in town for a race weekend. But, it wasn't a "home away from home". Very disappointed that the office was locked and no breakfast was available. I book my hotels based on that and feel I got jipped for the price I paid.

The only thing missing was crime scene tape!!!!

I booked a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds, lets just say the room wasn't quite what I expected. I was given a smoking room, #216 as my room was given away already. The room was disgusting as you see by the pictures. When you pay $121 you expect a clean room but not in this case. It was the last room left and I had no choice but to take it. It was 11.30pm by the time I got to checkin. Note how they left a half used bottle of shampoo in my room too.. just wonderful. DO NOT STAY HERE... IT IS DISGUSTING AND AWFUL.

Won't ever be back

Place needs complete overhaul. Waited over 20 minutes for someone to come to the office to check us in,the explanation was she was the only one working and something came up. Paint peeling off walls and overall poor shape.

We see in this wn for Martinsville Nascar races. Had a fair price for the area. This hotel was old and worn, but we were comfortable and felt the area to be safe. We will recommend to others. The front desk lady was very nice.

Floors and baseboards in room 110 were dirty. Was 95 degrees outside and the a/c was off. Room is way to large to cool down. Old box style TV'S. TV remote didn't control TV.

going to the race

The room was dirty with mold every where, we could not get signal on our phones at all and could not connect to the free WiFi that was told it had after more than several tries. Very disappointing.

Disappointing hotel stay

No iron or ironning board in the room. Had to get iron and ironning board from front desk. Sink in bath area backed up and took time to drain completely. Bed fitted sheet did not fit. If you moved in the bed the sheet came loose and each morning it was in a ball and I was sleeping on the bare mattress.

The nastiest hotel I have ever seen

I searched for a hotel months ago near the Martinsville Speedway and could not find one at a reasonable rate or even one available except for this one. Now I know why. Every wall looked like someone had thrown up on it. The wall paper was falling down at every seam. There was mildew in the seams over the door. The sheets had hairs on them. The bathtub was dirty. The room curtains were falling down. The room was horrible. We lost over $100 by leaving the next morning and searching for another hotel which we eventually found. I am disappointed in Days Inn and Orbtiz. No one should be subjected to this hotel.

Very Close to Virginia International Raceway

We spent 3 nights here while attending the ALMS VIR 240 9/15/12 We had a very pleasant surprise when we found out that it was very close to VIR. MapQuest and GPS had us about 40 miles away but that is not the case their routing is not good. Out the back roads it is 15 minutes and about 14 miles with little traffic. The owners were very nice and the service was great. The hotel is an older hotel so don't expect shiny new or a Marriott but it was clean and overall very acceptable. Will stay there again next year or any time we are going to VIR. Only down side is there is very little in Yanceyville for restaurants - subway, mcdonalds, bojangles etc and only two small 'sit down' restaurants a pizza and a mexican place. About 20 minutes to Danville for major chains like Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Ouback, etc. Overall a very good place to stay .

NASTY PLACE TO STAY - GO TO DANVIELLE INSTEAD

There was no continential breakfast and pool. Bugs came out of the juice machine when my daughter used it. My brother had to change rooms because his room was nasty, the tub looked like it had not been cleaned in years, and the fridge had mold growing inside of it. The towels were very small and when we aksed for more towels, the front desk clerk had to call someone for permision. REALLY. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, light bulbs were missing from some of the lamps and the wallpaper was peeling off of the walls. Not worth the money. Stay in Danville, VA which is 20 minutes away.

Bad Business Trip

Lobby did look bad. Rooms very dirty and smelly. How this hotel ever got a 5 Sunburst rating I will never know. Checked out early, desk clerk did not how to do a refund, had to come back for it. Never will stay again.

Near virginia international raceway

When we arrived I already had paid online; the desk clerk insisted I had to pay her anyway. I did, but told her someone would have to give me a refund. Twenty minutes later she called and said her manager wanted me to bring my credit card back to the office for a credit. We went to the room; it had not been cleaned after check-out. The manager had to relocate us to another room, which had marginal air conditioning. I could not recommend this hotel.

Pricey

For the price I paid for the room I feel cheated. It was hair everywhere, the ceiling near the door was stained,front desk didn't want to give me extra towels,and did not provide a continental breakfast even though I was warned before hand when I booked the room online.But I guess that's what I get when no other hotel is around to compete with.The one good thing I can say is that it was very convenient and glad to see Yanceyville bringing business to the city.Long overdue.

This hotel is set in idyllic country but located off either an unmarked highway/recently opened bypass because mapquest/google sent me round & round(had to stop @ several gasstations to inquire).In close proximity to Danville and multiple fast food eateries etc. I'd stay again & recommend,be aware you may loose all cell phone reception due to remoteness.

Not Clean, slept in clothes...

I had read the reviews before I booked this hotel, but due to circumstances I had no other choice but to stay at this hotel.... First of all the "lobby" was a disaster, messy , smelly, unorganized.. and somehow there was a "kitchen" in there, and the food looked like it was weeks old. The room was very not clean, bed looked slept in, bathroom felt greasy... and the sink had.. well.. short hairs in and around the counter... I strongly recommend that you do not stay here.. But as in my case, somtimes you don't have a choice.
