As said in the title, the biggest fault for me was the dirty, almost filthy carpet. I understand that in someplaces it is customary to wear shoes indoors (the hotel did provide slippers to wear), but come on, that can't mean that you never, ever, clean the floor. Otherwise I think the room was quite clean. Furniture and appliances were old. There was an electric kettle, bathroom had a western toilet and toilet paper. I didn't actually stay the night, so I can't say anything about the comfyness of the beds, or the food. The book with services and prices that was in the room was VERY old. There was an ''internet port'' and a cable in the room, but there was no info on whether or not using it (if it worked) would have cost something. I asked about wifi, but the person said thay didn't have it. One very big issue was that staff speaks very little English. Most of them tried to be very helpful though, but there was the language barrier. I speak a little Chinese so I could get by. One good thing was that there is Bank of China ATMs just around the corner, literally. You exit the hotel and walk left, and turn around the corner. The first ATM I saw (not behind the corner but next to the hotel) had a packet of cigarettes or something stuck in the card slot, but then I went around the corner and there was a Bank of China. The name of the hotel in Chinese characters is 西安尚德大厦， and the address is 新城区尚德路155号 (useful if you don't speak Chinese and need to get taxi there or something).
